I feel like certain people have their role.
Cersei is the main antagonist now who has to die likely at Jaime’s hand
Daenerys either becomes the Mad Queen similar to her father or manages to overcome the sins of the father and cooperate with Jon. I mean, she did lose a dragon coming to Jon’s aid and another one trying to take out Cersei, plus she’s come a long way from being a fugitive child on the run sold to a warlord by her abusive brother. She deserves better than where this show seems to be headed for her
Jon becomes King, otherwise his whole character arc including the identity of his real parents is bullshyt
Bran being BOTH the Three-Eyed Raven and the King is also bullshyt, especially since Bran is on his Dr Branhattan steez and seems indifferent to all the shyt going on around him. His character arc should be focused more on the supernatural shyt and not the politics of being King
I know the show is about subverting expectations and I don’t mind that provided that it’s good. But subverting expectations isn’t just good in and of itself.

From what I understand HBO wanted more seasons and was offering a blank check, countless millions for them to stay...But this whole time they where finessing GRRM for a condensed plot so they could close this lucasfilms/disney deal. The fans and the network were just a convenient springboard to a new star wars triliogy. They rushed this when they didn't have to because they are hacks looking to secure $$$
I NEVER watch television except for sports, on a personal level its infuriating because I invested years into this series, something I dont do... I'm just glad Im not a book reader, they got it the worst

but not doing anything with the whole lord of light/azor ahai prophecy? No Lightbringer? Whats the point of revealing snow mans parents? or stannis? or the red woman?

I didn't start the show as a book reader but I got caught up with them quick after Ned Stark got the head chop. So many theories I had got shytted on by the show
and the violations, omissions and dumming down of the characters I liked such as Jaime, Stannis, Tyrion, Littlefinger, Varys, Areo, and Barristan. 
This rush job reminds me of Boardwalk Empire.

At this point with how rushed and convoluted everything has gotten i’ll just be happy as long as muthafukking Bran DOES NOT end up on the iron throne. Thats the worst ending ever.
Already figured Tyrion would die. Already figured either Dany or Jon was going to die (likely not both) already figured Arya would die and bytch ass Sansa would live. So its whatever at this point.
They have two episodes to bring this all together. Its not looking like they will reach the Breaking Bad level but hopefully they’ll pull off something decent, at least better than fukking Lost managed.

GRRM hasn’t finished the books and gave them the ending and plot points . However he is making possibly 5 that’s right 5 spinoffs tothe show . One is the long night which goes into the Nk background apparently and another about the history of the Targs . Why would HBO give a blank check when the cost of the show and cast is ballooning ? When they can do spinoffs for a few seasons
