I saw no less than 5 groups/couples walk out half way through. Make of that what you will.

Personally, I enjoyed it. Not QT's most entertaining, and probably suffered from not focusing on any particular story line they introduced, but :yeshrug:

I didn’t hate it, but didn’t think it was better than say every movie he made since Death Proof.

When it ended, people just kinda looked like :dwillhuh::gucci:

And just slowly got up bewildered

Word!:ehh:

That’s good for QT.:obama:

I congratulate him on doing in 4 weekends what Django did is damn near one

giphy.gif

Django did $68.6 Million in its opening week.

What the fukk do you have against this film anyway, what with peddling falsehoods and personal experience as objective facts? It's not going top Django as Tarantino's highest earning film, don't worry (it probably will be his second biggest earner overall, and it happens to be a better film as well).

Well:skip:.... the coli is supposed to hate everything white and being that we coli people.... by that default, technicality.... we spose to all have the fact that there are no black people in this movie as a reason to hate it:troll:

But that’s only if we true Black coli posters and not just militants.

(Joke)

Look man, I don’t have nothing against this movie and I only reported my experience when I saw it from what I saw (as far as the vibe). Y’all act like I said something really inflammatory like “IT SUCKS!”

I haven’t spoken badly of it, I don’t think it’s a bad movie but I also don’t think it’s better than his last few movies sans Death Proof. That still don’t automatically make it bad.

That’s all I’m saying.:what:

I saw it..

Was kinda lost watching but I did some quick research on the Manson family and Sharon Tate and that made everything make sense for me.

I can understand why Sharon was portrayed that way but this shyt drug the fukk on... I thought they showed too much of Leo's character actually filming..

I don’t think QT really made a bad film, just some to me were better than the others

If I had may a rough list I’d go

Pulp Fiction
Django
Kill Bill 1
The Hateful 8
Inglorious b*stards
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill 2
Once Upon a Time
Jackie Brown
Death Proof

:yeshrug:

And that’s loosely, I could easily flip a few here and there but to me this wasn’t one of his top 5 best movies.

I was watching Jackie Brown last night and it's like night and day with QT. Such a more grounded movie with an actual plot. But even his Tarantinoisms are few and far between if any at all. His most underrated film.
Not so underrated anymore.

It's the new his best movie for critics and film nerds.

I've been listening to podcasts(@TheGodling :umad:) and reading a lot of articles about tarantino obsessively for the past month and a half and i hear a lot of it. Film nerds place Jackie or inglorious as his best. Talked to @MartyMcFly about this
Well that's brand new because they never were on JB like that.

IB is overrated imo. :francis:

You nailed my feelings about this movie story wise. It wasn't cohesive, but Leo put on a GOAT level performance to me. I got the Pacino in Godfather vibe about it. He was doing accents, stuttering, going from insecure to insecure ass kissing in the Pacino scene, he fukking killed in the villain role, and if I'm being honest I kinda hope QT makes a single episode of Bounty Law with him.

I genuinely think he made this movie just for Leo to flex how good he could be.
