Subscription fatigue is setting in and the sooner the better

Oh so show that only happened and blossomed because of a digital platform
Alot of people think these subscription services are the future of the gaming industry and that its a good thing. The truth is that these services mean most games have to be loaded with micro transactions to be profitable.
Basically people are celebrating a future where the mobile game business model becomes the norm.

yeah, a show that wouldn't exist if it weren't funded by netflix themselves. Most outside studios don't want their success tied to a streaming service, and in the case of video games know theey can't afford to take the same loss as microsoft with AAA games
It becomes less of an option when you have huge corporations paying billions to consolidate publishers to feed their subscription services.Act like you have to put your game on a subscription service and it's not just a option breh
Gee, pay a one time cost and own something. What a crazy idea.Or you can pay 10 to upgrade games, 70 for 1st party ones or increased prices on a PS5 consoles.

That's fantastic sir but day-one deal != post launch deal. The whole point of the comment was that the subscription deals are often not as profitable for indie developers as out right selling the game for $70 on the next gen platforms. But in 4-8 months gamepass and ps plus might be just what they need.

A lot of people still seem to believe just because content is on a subscription service, it's user base is guaranteed to consume it when we all know that's not true. Consider any streaming service you currently subscribe to and guestimate the percentage of it's content you've actually consumed.

Nope.does MS prevent them from releasing the game traditionally first and then bringing it to gamepass when the sales cool off?
