I can't believe a 55 in LG C2 cost $1099 at Best Buy. I paid $2200 for last years 55in Samsung S95B OLED when it was first released. The price on these things is falling fast.

I'm thinking it's because they're getting aggressive with blowing out that generation of panel tech. This year's C3 is essentially what last year's G2 was. Might was well clear out old inventory since there's a bit of a difference.

$1099 is still alot of money for a 55 inch...:picard:

For OLED? Absolutely fukking not. :mjlol:

Just wait until September. They’ll atleast fall to 800-900

I just googled my LG B6’s release date and i bought it all the way back in 2016. With the way these prices are getting, it might be time to finally upgrade it. It is starting to feel a bit long in the tooth. Not going to rush into it though as I'm not a gamer and I really don't watch that much tv these days however.

Yeah, if you're working with a B6, these deals flying around are making it a great time to upgrade, if you're considering it. LG is really on a hot streak these last few years, so it's definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Can't you find a bigger OLED for that price tho???:patrice: it feels like you getting shortchanged on price vs size...

No. :mjlol:

Entry level 65" OLEDs from last year or two years ago are probably still floating in the $1200-1300 range if you can still find them. Even Vizio's OLEDs are looking at $1300 MSRP for a 55". At that point, the LG on sale for cheaper is the FAR better deal, even though it's a year older.

Only way you're really getting 65" and up for $1100 or less is with budget brand/budget level LED TVs.

Honestly.. if I were LG, I'd be more concerned with the brand Hisense instead of Samsung. They're starting to make some really good products at some excellent prices.

I know I'm in the OLED thread and I really do love mine even at its age, but what's the next best tech that does not have potential burn in issues? We mainly use our television to monitor our security camera system it has lead to some somewhat noticeable burn in on our set.

FWIW it was my fault, as I put it on a separate input than my receiver and didn't realize that i had forgot to adjust the brightness settings on that hmdi port. I'll probably still stick with an OLED, but it would be nice not having the potential of this happening again due to my intended use of this new set.

Soon as I clear off my Amazon card, time to put one of these babies on that 12 month, no interest payment plans.. These shyts looking like 2500 to replace my 65inch.. But I've had it since 3D TVs was a thing (it's not) and it's time to upgrade

I'd personally rather save myself a rack and get a 65" C2 for ~$1600 instead if I were in your shoes
