The ball was dropped when the NAACP and others put their trust in "liberals"who even though werent as blatantly racist as the republican, they turned the "blind eye"or werent progressive enough in black reform...

And this continued into the 50s..

If you were for equal rights for black people, you were considered a communist and were to be extinguished ASAP...

The organizations and people that are "pushed"for us to celebrate usually were the ones who thought that if they got in bed with democrats, shyt would get better..And they were wrong

Yes but the sale of black businesses added onto whatever negative effects that those elements already put on us because it was us taking off our armor while getting hit.

Many decided to trust white men after integration and decided to work for them instead of keeping black entrepreneurship alive and well so our armor was taken off and now we are getting hit harder.

Im reading a book right now that is explaining that..

This thread started stupid and then hit warp speed as it went.

Some of the dudes in the age range y'all talking about include Barack Obama, Michael Jordan and a bunch of other high profile and well educated brothers. Some of y'all dudes are so young that you all have no concept of how America was before you all were born. Despite the way people have tried to hold brothers back; a lot of brothers still came up and they are giving y'all something that y'all don't even realize: it is called positive role models.

Young dumb nikkas didn't grow up seeing images of "Step and Fetchit" or "Buckwheat" and shyt like that. You all grew up seeing Black men being able to get theirs. You grew up seeing politicians who looked like you. Rappers whose images where their own (NWA, Kool Moe Dee, Jay Z, etc) and athletes who looked and sounded like you and your family members and dudes in your hood. You should be thankful that they moved your generation a step ahead, but youth is full of arrogance and no knowledge.

Hell every generation got some bum ass nikkas. I see a lot of young guys right now that are drug addicts and they don't even know it.

That code of conduct is important. I just dont know why we can't set boundaries and stop the fukkery, but we can come up with new dances and slang ever month.

There's nothing wrong with us being creative
You uppity nikkas need to stop throwing the baby out with the bathwater and hating on YOUR OWN KIND with broad strokes :martin:

You little nikkas need to understand something. You're mad at VICTIMS OF WARFARE ON SEVERAL LEVELS - Physical, Psychological, and Economic. SEVERAL GENERATIONS of warfare. HUNDREDS OF YEARS of being under attack. Let that sink in for a bit....

All these deplorable acts that left you so vulnerable are the RESULTS of White Supremacy. Being mad at the fact that your fathers and grandfathers ain't shyt is like being mad at a bullet wound for bleeding

Let's get one thing straight

Your generation is hands down the pussiest, doped up, apathetic, c00ning generation of black youth that's ever existed HANDS DOWN
You're simultaneously the generation with the highest potential to create black empowerment worldwide

So what you little nikkas gonna do ? :martin:

& So why didn't ya guide the next generation towards the other path ? I partially agree with your statement but at the same time they had their own people like Marcus Garvey , Malcolm X , Stokely Carmichael etc providing them with blueprint but decided not to abide by it when integration came along , so instead of manufacturing their own infrastructures and supporting their own , they abandoned their own establishments and invested into the other races while our businesses were left to diminish . I do agree that for the majority part that this is a result of generations of mental conditioning and even if they were to build a durable unit it would have probably gotten destroyed like Black Wall Street ..

But it's definitely in our generations hands to fill that void , and in this era it's easily possible because alot of shyt is in our disposal more than ever but unfortunately cats is oblivious to it ... we'll eventually get it tho I just wonder when ...

But the generation that they are talking shyt about did guide them, but little nikkas mad about some other shyt. Think about it: a couple of black men own major sports franchises (Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson). A black owned a television network (remember BET), before he sold it. Black men owned records labels. More black men became doctors, lawyers, tradesmen and entered into other professionals during that generation than at any other point in our history in America; and that was because more people in our generation went to college than at any other point in our history in this country. Those people were role models and they let it be known to younger that they can do it, which explains why more men in this this current generation of nikkas go to college and become professionals and now know one even bothers to look up or raise an eyebrow when a young black man becomes a judge, or a congressman, or a doctor or a mayor, or a whatever; because more people in this current generation go to college than any other group of black people in the history of our country..

The thing that a lot of young nikkas can't seem to grasp is that the generation that they are talking about broke down a lot of barriers. They were among the first to mass integrate white schools (busing) and get employed in industries that black people had always been black balled in (entertainment, government jobs, finance, etc.). Young nikkas need to stop making excuses for why they failing and then they need to figure out how to be successful. They are black. Black people are really creative and the ancestors left us with some serious talent and mental toughness.

Yeah the previous generation made mistakes. But its upon us that are in in our 20s and 30s to learn from their mistakes and build a better future for our descendents. Im working hard right now with my lil bro to get our money up. I dont want my kids to go through what i am going through living in a Brooklyn hood in a small ass apartment. Lets us be the first generation to change things.

im not talking about our grand fathers age but these baby boomer and gen x nikkas r losers....I'm tired of seeing these nikkas out begging cacs for change everytime im on the strip.....im in my 20s and i got more discipline and self respect then these nikkas...I see them all bummy entertaining cacs and walking about with plastic bags looking like an extra out the video

these nikkas are suppose to be schooling us, setting the example....where are our black owned businesses? why r these young girls thots? where r the fathers? the community is broken, these nikkas were suppose to have all this shyt set up so the next gen could eat, but these old docile nikkas still wanna c00n and jig....still begging for jobs n shyt...how r u 52 working for cacs taking orders from cacs 21 years old?...

in these retail and FF places i see lil miley cyrus looking bytches bossing some nikka that's 49 around, telling him to go grab the carts :scust:....shyt is embarrassing, wheres ur fukking pride?...they'll smile and dance for the white man, then when a young brother come up we get the fukking :dame: face....these nikkas lucky we don't kick their ass...they deserve it. Ive actually had convos with old nikkas, and these nikkas talk about p*ssy like some HS kid...ur suppose to be dropping game, so we can avoid the traps in this society

our men was to suppose set this shyt up, now us young men out here building from scratch. nikkas arent real men, abandoning their women, creating these single parent homes

Way to ignore the effects of Reganomics, COINTELPRO, the Crack epidemic, Vietnam/Draft and the erosion of the public school system. We are talking about MASSIVE amounts of legislation and government programs that were specifically made to target black/brown and poor people.

You are worried about brothers of the Baby Boom/Gen X being poor visual representations of blackness when you are totally disregarding the middle and upper class blacks (and whites) who helped make college hyper-expensive, failed to raise minimum wage, bought into the "bootstraps" narrative and destroyed our economy.

They were and are much more of a problem than seeing a brother who fell on hard times.

[also, the government used to pay for you to be schooled in college. till reagan endorsed by ge capital removed the california statues to pay for college. which, is how schools like stanford, ucla, berkeley etc got their vanity label. as those were private schools that had rich white kids who were in cali and could market as cool were at. so, you can see who and what company planted the seeds to eliminate you and not just you but everyone with the ability to acquire new money.]

:ohhh:

You got any links on that ge capital thing?
