Hip hop was more prominant in breakin' and dance before the popularity of the rapper. It even hit MAINSTREAM first over the rapper. People were all about making hip crazy dances, even have songs made up after dance steps. Have actual hip hop dance competitions and talents shows. You NON-HIP HOP CULTURED SELF presumed that hip hop is RAP and nothing more. Hip hop CULTURE was all the elements and every element took significance. MC Hammer's show couldn't be matched. And no disrespect for Scoob and Scrap, but the QUESTION was asked why MC Hammer crossed over to be embraced by CACs... and I gave the reason why.
