Coli Brehs that are pro bootstraps are clapping like circus seals about this.

You know what all three of those industries have in common? They all have dwindling numbers because people have decided to do other things with their lives and the people that bankroll those institutions or want people in those things are not happy about their dwindling numbers.

All those colleges in Oklahoma are now going to be forcing people to attend them even if they don't want to for that crappy piece of paper.

You're going to see the dropout rate skyrocket so people don't have this force down their throats. And then move out. Or get a high school diploma equivalent online.

With the emergence of the internet and more self-taught tools that are ever available people do not need certain places to make a living or get skills.

This is plain and simple design to keep people on that hamster wheel.

All these places are mad because people are more educated about what a joke college can be (and I went to it and graduated) and that they can find and make a living by doing their own thing or finding their own niche.

Parents and older siblings have geared their kids towards do something else and now those places are trying to take it out by forcing it down these legislators throats- they're doing their overlord's bidding

And anybody cosigning this is a piece of shyt.

It's nothing more than a level of control to make sure the people stay in their place and work for them til the day they die

Just wait till you find out you're not complying with the terms of your graduation and the consequences that come with it. Don't think there won't be. You're crazy

It's going to be a whole lot of fine-print in that diploma that people aren't even going to think that's going to be taking place and they're going to suffer for, it go to jail for it, be fined for it or all of the above.

So now you're diploma isn't based towards the criteria that you graduated with in the classes that you pass to get your diploma.

It's now dependent on the industry the government wants to put you in.

Wait till they end up closing all the public schools and making all these mandatory from private equity voucher charter schools.

And then the company you go to work for after high school owns the same company that bankrolled the charter school.

This is all sorts of fukked up

What if your parents die and you need to get a job to survive? shyt what if you want to just get married and have a family of your own?

Why the fukk would you not get a HS degree.

This shyt is like these motherfukkers telling women they can’t get Abortions. It’s crazy how ya’ll ok with republicans denying you something you earned because you don’t do what they want.

If OKC people want to live like that fine, but keep that in your state.

Force..or if should assist kids in thinking long term. Though there may be a need fir exceptions.

Main goal would be to stop these young adults from sitting around doing nothing.

I don’t hate the idea
:yeshrug:

If it was to work in theory and in sound good business practices it would do the following

- low cost to free post secondary education
- available child care for people who had children at a young age for this
- co-ops beginning at the 8th to 9th grade level for career development that counted towards your graduation.
- we already have mandatory military draft service that you sign up for available as a male. Why tack this on?

This should not be mandatory. The details on this are going to be absolutely abysmal. All of these people have decided that they need numbers and bodies because people aren't willingly going to them anymore. Particularly the overpriced colleges.

They are literally telling you that unless you go to the military college or trade school or college they will not stamp your diploma and you cannot receive one.

So if you're a high school kid making websites on the side and having your own online store and you're doing your own thing making money now I got to stop what I'm doing and do what you tell me to do to get my diploma.

There's going to be a huge fallout from this. When does the government tell you that in order to receive your high school diploma you have to go into the field that I tell you to??!!

This is the same state that doesn't even have updated textbooks for their kids!

All this is is about some private equity group and the chamber of commerce want people on that hamster wheel by any means necessary to prop up the college tuition so people can take out loans to finance the bank to charge the interest and get people back in that door for paying for their overpriced pieces of crap. Or trade school.

And I'm not talking ill about the military but they're basically making sure their numbers get boosted up because people won't want to pay that

I am not against that but you got to incentivize that. Not hold their high school diploma hostage. Florida (another red state) has a bunch of job prep programs that lets kids graduate early and get work experience. That is way more legitimate than this.

Honestly I'm not completely against this.

Oh yeah what could possibly go wrong from a governor who doesn't even fund the available up-to-date textbooks to his classrooms suddenly deciding that high school graduates in his state have to go to the military, trade school or college to get a diploma?

A state with the lowest paid teachers in the country suddenly acting like he gives a damn about education?

Do you have to present the acceptance paperwork or the first payment made to one of these institutions to get your diploma? Or your enlistment letter to the military?

I promise you the people who are bankrolling this initiative and forcing it down people's throats are the exact same people who will be funding, owning and holding a financial interest in the colleges and the trade schools.

They are doing simple math and they do not like the dwindling enlistment numbers of all of these places simply forced the hand of the state legislature and their governor to boost these numbers by any means necessary.

These industries just want bodies and forced the governor of the state to do so on their behalf. That man doesn't get one damn about education. There's not a single action in his DNA that he is showing that he is cared about the education of his people and his state.

That state rings damn near dead last in every educational category. And making people mandatory go to the industries of his choice is not going to help the situation

He's doing some private equity groups bidding to get bodies in these industries because nobody wants to join these things that are too expensive for people to get to be a part of.
