Netflix has the best interface but they don't have any movies that were released before the 90s and if they do it's either a tentpole or was nominated for best picture :russ:. HBO Myxe has the best content with Hulu right behind it when you add in FX .

Also Prime has a bunch of classic movies on par with Criterion channel and the TCM hub but you wouldn't know it because their interface and algorithm is absolute dog shyt.

They really do.
I was randomly looking up old Blaxpoitation films the other day and there was a decent amount included with Prime.

I just had to go through the related movies area and sift through them

  1. Netflix - Best Interface and app speed by far, tons of content for all demographics, mid range price wise but starting to get expensive. Plus I give a lot of props to originators
  2. HBOMax - Best content - have the highest % of stuff I'm personally interested in, app speed and interface both suck, most expensive as well.
  3. Hulu - Good content but not great, mid-range app speed and interface, very cheap pricewise.
  4. Amazon Prime - sparse content - similar to Disney + not a lot of content but more than Disney +, decent speed but another very bad interface, tying i to the delivery speed thing is smart because I doubt I would pay for this otherwise.
  5. Disney + - Sparse content - there just isn't a lot on there I'm interested in yet, mid-range speed and interface, very cheap pricewise

This. Except I put Prime above Disney. I'd move Disney lower since I have no interest in their future content. Kinda tired of marvel and SW right now.

What career/job do you have that allows you to afford all of those? I'm broke/work a minimum wage job.

I only have three so..

1. Netflix
2. HBOMax
3. Prime

Netflix is tops imo because they keep coming with shyt nonstop, their interface is flat out the best in the biz, the best branding, and there's no confusion about what's what plus they're not attached to anything else like a mother company, amusement parks, cable channels, internet service, etc. Love 'em or leave 'em, Its just Netflix and Netflix only.

HBOMax is right there as far as libraries are concerned, maybe even tops in the game if we're going pound for pound. But their interface is trash, too many other factors like the bad confusing rollout, AT&T, Warner Bros, cable tv attachment, etc. I also think they kind of live off their legacy shows like The Sopranos, GOT, The Wire, etc. a bit too much. I'm a huge fan of HBO though.

I enjoy Amazon Prime just as well as the other services. They have heat.. although probably the worst promotion and marketing out of the bunch. People complain about their interface but if you hit up Amazon.com you'll be able to dig into their library way better than on the firestick.

The Truth
Well to be fair, Kodi was my main and I only had Netflix and Amazon. I got Hulu for the live TV but once I realized it was trash I only kept ot for my lil sister to watch Black-ish and shyt.

But since the pandemic, Kodi has been completely ass for me on XBOX 1 and I started getting other shyt out of boredom.

I know Iā€™m keeping Max. Might drop Disney after Mando until the actual real shyt drops, HULU is going straight into the bushes, and i might keep Netflix for now... maybe. I canā€™t justify the price imo right now. Queens Gambit was the only hit series Iā€™ve fukked with lately, i hate reading subtitles, and all they receive is d-list movies with a few original gems.

And where tf has shows like Stranger Things been? Then they canceled a bunch of good shows, the only thing Iā€™m looking forward to is Cobra Kai but thats in January

Appletv still free but fukk that shyt

Amazon is free because of Prime so thats not going anywhere but I had to add additional channels just because shyt was boring afterwhile.

Plus I hate when I finally find some shyt on Amazon I couldnā€™t find anywhere else, i got to ā€œrentā€ it just to watch it. That shyt gets me heated.

I like CBS for all the startrek shyt and I think Peacock has potential. Plus I like i can watch football Live if on those stations. Other than that... got to slim my streaming services up.

I like Tubi, crackle, and a lot of the free ones too. Pissed me off when I saw a movie released on Tubi for months only to pop up as ā€œNewā€ on Netflix a few weeks later

Ain't no HBOMAX or Hulu yet where I'm at.

1. Netflix: most diverse and still the easiest to navigate.

2. Prime: catalog is deep but the presentation is off. It's like they want to copy Netflix but they don't want it to look like they're copying Netflix so they make it a bit shyttier on purpose.

3.D+: love the presentation but they need to step up their originals. Plus for me the most hardcore it gets is Star Wars/Marvel. Other than that it's nostalgia or family stuff.

4. Youtube Originals: dead but was OK. I only have it because I couldn't stand YT ads anymore.

HBO MAX is day one when it becomes available.

Kinda where Iā€™m at but Netflix is falling out of top to me...

Just too much filler bullshyt, no big movies (to me), i could care less about their other demos like that...

But Queens Gambit was hot and Selena had my attention, so when Neflix drops shyt like that it temporarily stays on top to me.

I agreed with most of this tho

I agree. I'm having a hard time finding quality new series on Netflix.

HBO Max has been killing it. Most of the new stuff on there, I end up liking.
