I agree with all of this
Its downright terrifying how every fukking thing in real life resembles a Wayans Family parody nowadays. Like where is the seriousness and professionalism in ANYTHING!?? This is damn trial for which civilian people have been hunted down and MURDERED and its all just going down like we’re watching a scene from National Lampoon. Its really disturbing
social media!
To be fair, I have seen the same thing in real life, I was attending a murder trial for my boy who was murdered, more like my homies little cousin, I know his whole family. And, outside the courtroom, an inside, these young law school students were attending for research, they were laughing and looking at their phones in the trial. The judged rebuked them.
They don't need to be demonized or anything, they are just young and haven't really been exposed to death or violence, is my guess, it's all theoritecal to them. But, laughing and giggling and like checking your instagram when you are right next to the FAMILY of the victim.
and yeah, YSL trial, same thing for everybody. Thugga gets convicted, he's done. That will tear his family apart. He'll do 30 years. only way out is maybe an appeal, like El Dorado Red. The murdered victims, even if gang members, like Donovan Thomas are PEOPLE. They have families. They have loved ones. But yea, you don't have to be stoic, there are plenty of funny moments in trials, but this disconnect between everything being for entertainment, for clicks, for views, for outrage is corrosive.
