I understand your sentiment. And I'll be lying if I said I trust the justice system in this country. Especially when it pertains to us.

My thing is when people start getting all extra and saying shyt like "idc what he did free thug" type of shyt. Just because he makes music they like.

You can tell these people haven't been impacted by death in their lives when they say dumb shyt like that.

So for the laws sake this should just be a uniform rejection of using a source of entertainment as a standard for truth. Should not be taken into consideration..

It’s vague and not universally applied.

I wouldn’t be honing in on the violence mentioned (in lyrics unless it was so specific to be direct) as proof, but rather the many Blood references/calls, and the general prevalence of violent/arms in Thug’s lyrics to paint the picture of who he is from his own mouth.

Of course you have people like Ar-Ab though who hall monitor escort themselves into a prison, I’m sure police and prosecutors appreciate people like him.

The whole lyrics convo is to much for me at the moment, but it's not a simple debate, I think the prosecutor said it right, we didn't follow lyrics to match the murders, we followed murders and found the lyrics.

These guys are RAPPING IN DETAIL and posting about actual murders. Joe didn't do that in the 90's. 90's rappers shouted out street guys, but not names and locations of killings they ordered or committed. That started around the 50 Cent era maybe. But even 50 never really got down like that. And for sure not Joe, Jay, and honestly those guys were HUSTLERS first, not gang members. Thug is the opposite. It wasn't about drugs or kilos, it was about killing.

All these rappers calling for all this outrage are misguided to me.

You can't watch these little clips. The defense lawyers and prosecutors are laying groundwork, for larger points sometimes. They spend 30 minutes with these people. More. An hour on the stand. And they try to lead them into places for the jury to follow. When you cut it into these little videos, it comes off all weird. That woman is doing a disservice, and is clearly working this for maximum drama and views. She's practically hysterical if the judge calls the attorneys in for a closed door session. That happens in EVERY SINGLE TRIAL.

Steele is doing standard tactics when the defense has nothing. Not he wasn't there, not he didn't say that or do that, but procedural stuff, as in we shouldn't even be here.
