I think the actor and the RZA character are starting to grow into the RZA. I'm hype for the last two episode and the next season.
He has his own arc. Rza talks about the transformation from Robert Diggs to rza and it’s good to show that on the show. Especially his crucible of the first record deal and seeing that go Paul wall on him

VERY good episode this week. Possibly the best episode of the season.

Absolutely loved the camera work and soundtrack.
Yeah Rza put in work this episode. He seemed to have an energy behind the boards he didn’t have on the other ones. Like he was prepping for this episode and put everything into it

this episode makes me appreciate GZA’s verse on ‘protect ya neck’ even more :wow:

The Wu is too slammin' for these Cold Killin' labels
Some ain't had hits since I seen Aunt Mabel
Be doin' artists in like Cain did Abel
Now they money's gettin' stuck to the gum under the table
That's what you get when you misuse what I invent
Your empire falls and you lose every cent
For tryna blow up a scrub
Now that thought was just as bright as a 20-watt light bulb
Should've pumped it when I rocked it
nikkas so stingy they got short arms and deep pockets
This goes on in some companies
With majors, they're scared to death to pump these
First of all, who's your A&R?
A mountain climber who plays an electric guitar?
But he don't know the meanin' of dope
When he's lookin' for a suit-and-tie rap
That's cleaner than a bar of soap
And I'm the dirtiest thing in sight
Matter of fact, bring out the girls, and let's have a mud fight

Best episode of the series.

This is BY FAR the best hiphop biopic to date. The amount of detail they are putting into this show and the camera work and score is really good. Not to mention the casting isn’t no slouch.

Just-Ice pressing rza on taking a false attribute was :sadcam:. In those days Just was the street bully.

Treach casting was good also.

Rza taking that lesson from Just about getting shyt the way YOU wanted it led to him getting the sound right in his studio session. He told that engineer he wanted that grit fukk leaving room at the top.

The fact the episode is called "LABELS"... made me really appreciate GZA's classic joint even more.

Great ep., perhaps good enough for some critical acclaim. I basically view this ep. from Bobby's pov but in a dreamy sequence.

Marlo is the army recruiter that sells you on everything. Bobby chooses the individuals he's most comfortable with on tour. Just about everything going his way compared to his past struggles.

Just like many good dreams, they can turn negative. Cracks in his dream slowly comes to the surface . Chef and face will eventually combust if he doesn't figure something out. Then Marlo giving him the wake up call at the end.
