Not true, all the pirates movie except for the last one cleared 300 million domestically. But they are trending downward and this new one looks to do the worst.

That's what I meant. People aren't looking for those movies anymore which is why they're grossing less and less domestically. Most of the money for those films is being made overseas.

Only the last one faired somewhat poorly... it's been 6 years since the last one as well... This new one seems like there's no interest.

I never said ANY of them did poorly. I said people aren't still checking for those movies in the U.S. (which they're not) and that they make most of their money overseas (which they do). The first pirates film is the only one that made close to half of it's money in the U.S., every other film in the franchise has seen over 60% of money made overseas.

Dude, all these movies make much more overseas, look at the new FF, shyt won't even top 250 here, but made a billion total already.

Even both avengers films made 60% or more of its gross overseas. Majority of all these blockbusters are over 60% overseas. These studios don't even give a fukk if the movie flops here as long as it kills WW.

Movie looks great so far.

Just hoping it has that Man of Steel feel, luckily WW origin hasn't been told in movies yet so it should be fresh as fukk.

WB has all of their movies' climactic battles set at night to save CGI costs and the CGI still ends up looking subpar.:why:

Other than that I'm still excited for this. I think we've seen too little of the actual plot to know how that will hold up but the action looks dope enough.

Jesus this movie is beautiful. Cinematography wise it reminds me of Casino royale, except taken up a decades worth of notches
