I love the show but that slang being used takes me out of it. Hearing Magic talking about people hating on him or how Cookie is just some girl he used to hit don’t sound right.

It’s just the actual slang that I had a problem with. As far as I remember hating didn’t become popular slang until mid-90s.
Magic definitely faced a lot of jealousy and had people hating early.
Why that non-guarantee ass nikka picking fights with Magic and Norm. He trying to get the coach fired too. Norm played his ass when they went to Jerry West he was like idk what you talking about nikka change might be good for us. Give it a chance.
