Who tf is Mr. Manhattan and what tf is he doing on Mars? How did he get there? What is so special about him? Why should we care where and who he is? Did he throw a car from Mars to Earth in that last scene?
And wtf was up with the big blue dildo?

That's why you're having a hard time. Watch this, it provides context for a lot of shyt in the show
Naw, that's just the tip of the iceberg. I legit don't understand half of what's going on. Which is good in a sense, but frustrating when trying to figure out what this show is really about. It can't just be Racists vs. Non racists. I'll check that video out when I get home. Props.
He's a great actor, and I'm a fan of his work...but I don't even know that actor's name. Every time I see him in a movie or tv show, I think Bunny Colvin.We see you Bunny Colvin

It makes perfect sense if you're paying attention
One thing I forgot to add about this latest episode... the scenes film outside of "Tulsa" felt jarring but in a good way. That scene with the F.B.I. setting up fake ass Batman felt like something off a Hollywood lot and I liked it because once Silk was dropped into Tulsa it showed how immersive and distinct this community is.

It... really does make sense. Problem is, people are going into something with a novel and a movie as background... without knowing anything about either. It's basically like missing school for half a week and showing up to a test and assuming none of it was taught. It was - you just weren't present.
Neither Moore's writing nor Lindelof's shows lend themselves well to starting midway.
A youtube recap or watching Snyder's trash movie needs to be the minimum required watching to understand a lot of what the show is doing.
