I saw ppl on twitter arguing that the U.S is justified because “we’re a global power and other countries have to deal with it”. Just no concept of the hypocrisy or understanding that retaliation will come...The audacity for us to cite hes responsible for 600 American lives when our country is responsible for hundreds of thousands of innocent lives in the middle east
Trump drawing us into a conflict with Iran is a Russian wet dream. We are already over extended and each additional conflict without pulling out of other zones puts us on a fall of Rome trajectory.

This is fukking depressing. I don't fukking get it. I try so hard to not become cynical. Another fukking war? Iran is no joke, too. This is scary shyt.
I'm fukking sick of these evil, rich fukks that are starting more endless wars in more countries. Sending more of our kids to go die, and putting more of us here in the Unites States at risk; while more and more hard-working people here at home are having to choose between dying or filing for bankruptcy because they can't pay their medical bills. Our fukking infrastructure sucks. We've got a massive opioid crisis. The list goes on. Can we spend some fukking money here at home?
I'm sure there's a decent geo-political reason for taking out Qassem, but weighed against all of these other things it's senseless as all fukk.
If the economy holds up and.or if we are at war, it could be bad news. It's rare that an incumbent gets knocked out of office during times of war.

It's far from a guarantee that he gets knocked out of office. He could absolutely get re-elected if the Dems pick the wrong candidate. Not to mention he's a beast on the campaign trail. He lives for that shyt. He was still doing rallies after he got elected the first time.

Fair enough to you and @FukkaPaidEmail but they also made it seem like Iraq War #2 wouldn't become a ground war either.
And there will absolutely be special operations boots on the ground. I have 2 family members that are active US Army Special Operations. And to be fair I know this is the type of shyt they signed up for.

Iran's internal structure is far different than Iraqs. We don't need to nation build Iran. We don't need to appease 3 different warring factions like in Iraq. Iran is fairly solid from my understanding so the chaotic political arena that occurred in Iraq, won't occur in Iran. Lets not forget that part of the reason Iraq turned chaotic was that Iran was funding insurgency against both the US and the Iraqis.
IMO here's whats gonna happen. (Just my opinion).
Back in 2017 I talked with some friends in the Defense industry. They work for companies that supply war planes and missiles. Two diff people, two diff companies. Both said the same thing. We're gearing up for late 2019/early 2020. They said that weapons manufacturing, aka missiles, were being ramped up to levels they had never seen before, even during the Iraq war. This tells me we're gonna be dropping hammers on a LOT of Iranian military installations. Our war simulations clearly show us we have no chance for a ground invasion. I also don't think theres any support for that in the public or in the military. This will, IMO, strictly be dropping bombs on targeted sites to set their military and nuclear program back decades. The only chance for "ground" action is through their proxies in Syria, Yemen, or Lebanon. I'm of the opinion that Iranian proxies are spread extremely thin right now so any actions against the proxies will be swift and force them to draw back.
