Theo and Joel added absolutely nothing to their games. It was a nice feel good story, but I guess we have to be realistic and understand this team can't be very good if a walk on is considered one of our top go to options. In starting to get worried about Roy and his lack of forward thinking. If you're gonna give up damn near 20 turnovers anyway, might as well let Felton play more. Passing the ball around for set shots will hardly ever beat this defense. Why not play someone that can break someone down and dish? We had like what, 3-4 shot clock violations? Cam and Joel both had to hoist 35 foot jumpers to avoid a violation.....just horrible.

Also wondering what the hell Roy gonna do next year? These last few years of playing players outta necessity clouded my view and now I'm back to seeing the same Roy that waited too long to start Marshall over Larry Drew. Now I'm watching Platek get just as many or more minutes than Felton. Looks like Felton gonna be on a 2 year plan now, and with 7th as a Junior and Kenny a Senior, he better not bury Coby next year. Sometimes you gotta let these kids go. Today was the perfect game to let Felton go and live with the results.

This team is soft. Every time we get smacked in the mouth, they fold. Its basketball, and there will be runs. But it seems like if UNC fall behind by 10 at any point in the game, 9/10 times you can chalk that game up as a L.

I’m with you everywhere except this team being soft. I think the UT and FSU games showed how tough these guys can be, we just have glaring weaknesses that can’t talent can’t hide like in previous years. Jalek has his turnover issues but we have no one else that can consistently create off the dribble. Roy is stubborn though :yeshrug:

UT didnt have us down by 10. And FSU did everything in their power to lose that game. They went the last 3 mins without a bucket and bricked 4 straight free throws. More times than not....when the lead grows to double digits, its pretty much a wrap for this team. Most of that has to fall on Berry and Pinson shoulders. They need to be dogs....and sure, Berry is big time in spots. But I don't like seeing him trying to sell calls like in the FSU game, or being loose with the ball like today. Be the steady presence that doesn't blink. As much as their off court demeanor may seem like they're soft, Justin and Kennedy didn't blink like this except for Indiana last year. This team blinks every time, SO FAR, this season when they get punched in the mouth.

where they cross-over and clap boards
Felton was timid out there. I see why Roy doesn't have confidence in him. Came in and immediately turned the ball over. The talent is there, but Seventh would probably get his mins If he wasn't hurt. If Joel doesn't come back this year, we're probably 5-11 right now.

I fully expected this to happen. We suck at Virginia. Their defense was tough but a lot of those turnovers were caused by carelessness.

Berry is doing everything for this team. Time for someone else to step up.

I think you’re forgetting just how bad that team was.

i think you're forgetting that team makes the tourney with a healthy ed davis

they beat really good sparty and osu teams. they werent anything special but zeller and ed davis were a great pairing.

also in this hypothetical, i am saying roy doesnt play john henson at the 3

This hypothetical is silly. Hypothetically, do we get a healthy Cam Johnson and Tony Bradley back?

Btw, that team still had double digit losses and was barely about .500 before Ed Davis got hurt.

Sure a “healthy” Ed Davis, along with Zeller and Thompson would feast on our frontcourt but Berry and crew would embarrass ‘10s backcourt.

Henson at the 3 :scust:

Roy should have never gave him that promise

God Damn that was bad, all I do is :russ: when I think about how BAD that went

It was that season that made me realize that I can't stand how Roy coaches despite how well it usually goes.
I remember looking at games switching between :hhh:and :gucci: for 2 straight hours.
