Did you hear the quote the announcer read about Garrison Brooks? He quoted Jay Bilas as saying Brooks was the best freshman big man defender in the NCAA.


I sat there in shock when he said that. Even hit rewind cause I was like there’s no way I heard that right. Either the announcer got that wrong, there’s another freshman named Garrison Brooks somewhere else, or Jay Bilas was high as fukk when he said that.

Naw....Dook perimeter defense is ass. Only way Dook "crush this squad" is if we have one of those offensive meltdowns we've been capable of. By the time we get to Dook, Cam will be back in shape and more of the offensive sets will be installed. I think we split this year with Dook.

fundamentally he’s really good but he’s just weak af.

at fsu and at uva is gonna be tough. 0-2 would stink but it would be understandable. 1-1 would be fine and 2-0 would be amazing.

He’s never jumped out at me as a good defender, that’s why that quote surprised me so much. That’s high praise for somebody that’s never shown any ability to stop anyone.

I agree. I’d be happy with 1-1 and not surprised in the least with 0-2. I do think we stand a better chance against FSU than we do at UVA just based on style of play.

A few quick things....
1st half was the worst defensive effort I've ever seen.
Manley has looked good. I saw two offensive rebounds, two putbacks, and a nice back door pass to Theo from him.
Berry and KW has carried us.
How the fukk is Luke such a poor free throw shooter and Pinson is so good
Cam is a terrible defender
