A few quick things....
1st half was the worst defensive effort I've ever seen.
Manley has looked good. I saw two offensive rebounds, two putbacks, and a nice back door pass to Theo from him.
Berry and KW has carried us.
How the fukk is Luke such a poor free throw shooter and Pinson is so good :mindblown:
Cam is a terrible defender

Manley needs to start because Brooks contributes nothing right now. And Cam is SLOW. Idk if it’s the knee or what but dude moves like a snail.

If Cam had even the slightest bit of speed or explosion he’d be a 1st round pick

If they played any semblance of defense in the first half they would’ve won the game. Oh well.

Officiating was trash too

This is the first Carolina team I can remember that don’t even look to throw it in the post. I understand we got 3 young bigs and Luke isn’t really a true post but you’d think we would at least post some players up and give them the ball. Manley has a decent post game and we honestly haven’t seen Brooks do anything but posting them up at least gives us the option to kick it back out for a better look at a 3 or pass to a cutter.

Just gotta take the good with the bad this year after the past two seasons we’ve had :yeshrug:

Well his knee is clearly not 100%. I’ve got all the respect/love in the world for Pinson and Berry but it’s disappointing that neither has really improved on their obvious weaknesses.

Berry had Cam wide open in the corner for that last shot but because of his head down scorer tunnel vision he didn’t even think to make the pass. Did Theo even score last night? Luke is being exposed whenever he’s matched up against height and athleticism. Felton hasn’t lived up to the hype yet and looks both shook and nonchalant out there. We don’t have a post game because we don’t have a real point guard to enter the ball in the post, and our post players are all limited. Luke can’t finish consistently, Brooks isn’t strong/good enough to post up consistently, and Manley isn’t strong or polished enough yet.

This is how Dook looked in recent years until Okafor came along

Theo and Joel added absolutely nothing to their games. It was a nice feel good story, but I guess we have to be realistic and understand this team can't be very good if a walk on is considered one of our top go to options. In starting to get worried about Roy and his lack of forward thinking. If you're gonna give up damn near 20 turnovers anyway, might as well let Felton play more. Passing the ball around for set shots will hardly ever beat this defense. Why not play someone that can break someone down and dish? We had like what, 3-4 shot clock violations? Cam and Joel both had to hoist 35 foot jumpers to avoid a violation.....just horrible.

Also wondering what the hell Roy gonna do next year? These last few years of playing players outta necessity clouded my view and now I'm back to seeing the same Roy that waited too long to start Marshall over Larry Drew. Now I'm watching Platek get just as many or more minutes than Felton. Looks like Felton gonna be on a 2 year plan now, and with 7th as a Junior and Kenny a Senior, he better not bury Coby next year. Sometimes you gotta let these kids go. Today was the perfect game to let Felton go and live with the results.

This team is soft. Every time we get smacked in the mouth, they fold. Its basketball, and there will be runs. But it seems like if UNC fall behind by 10 at any point in the game, 9/10 times you can chalk that game up as a L.
