a unc team has literally never shot that poorly and we were down only 11 with ball with 4 mins left

just one of those nights. didn’t really learn anything special about the team. on to michigan

This. Defense was pretty decent, gave great effort.....but the offense was just a comedy of errors. When Kenny blew the breakaway layup, I knew it was gonna be one of those nights. Reminded me of the Indiana game last year. Take your lumps and move on. I left the weekend more upset at Texas and Florida than I was at UNC.

Why my guy Jalek not getting no burn? It's not a good look for future recruits.

Jalek will be fine moving forward. All he has to do is commit to defense. That's why Platek getting increased minutes. Once he does that, it won't take much to bury 7th on the depth chart. I'm over this guy, for real.

UNC PG Seventh Woods Sidelined Indefinitely

UNC PG Seventh Woods Sidelined Indefinitely

The sophomore point guard is averaging 2.4 points and 1.7 assists per game.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- North Carolina sophomore Seventh Woods's plantar fasciitis is more serious than originally diagnosed, according to head coach Roy Williams.

"We get more information every day... but he is going to be out for a while," Williams said Tuesday of his backup point guard. "We don't know how long. I think they are still checking with another person, too. I would guess... I really don't know. I just know he is going to be out a while."

Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of a thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes.

Woods last played in UNC's 86-71 win over Michigan on Nov. 29, with arguably his best showing of the season in posting four points and four assists in eight minutes.

The 6-1 South Carolina native was ruled out against Davidson last Friday and did not play against Tulane the following Sunday.

In seven games this season Woods is averaging 2.4 points, and 1.7 assists in 10.9 minutes. He is shooting 35.0 percent from the field.

Woods's indefinite absence leaves increased playing time for freshman point guard Jalek Felton, who scored nine points and had three assists in 13 minutes against Tulane.

The No. 11 Tar Heels (8-1) take on Western Carolina (3-6) on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 7:00 p.m. The game can be seen on RSN.

Maybe he can medical redshirt and just sit out the whole season. I seem to be in the minority but I like Seventh. His mid range has been ok but he’s not an offensive threat right now. His defense is very good though...one of the better defenders on the team.

Just wish his athleticism would show more.

he has been a lot better this year

definitely our best transition offense point but he struggles in the half court.

this is one of those things that could linger all year or could be good to go by conference play. just rest him and take it slow. jalek's time to shine

Am I the only one that's pleasantly surprised by our bigs? When Roy recruited them, I thought all of them were "Joel James" level projects. These guys can play. I'm getting sick thinking about how this squad would look with Bradley this year. 16 made 3s.....and the person deemed the best shooter is in a suit. This team might fukk around and repeat.

Probably would be his best option they should allow him to cause he’s still young. They seem to keep updating his injury now it’s supposedly a stress fracture.
