while i agree that biden would not try to pay america to stay home, his pandemic response teams would have very likely nipped this in the bud when it was killing italians or even earlier if they could read between the lines on the things that were happening in wuhan before china officially announced the problem.

I don't know the exact numbers, but a Democrat wasn't going to drive the number down to 0 regardless of how much better they handled it (and they would have been much better than Trump obviously).
I think the problem is people keep pushing that asinine, hyperbolic talking point of "Trump is responsible for all 400k COVID deaths." It's really not necessary, you can just say he did an awful job at every stage. You can also say that the death toll was much higher than it should've been, due to his poor response.
