im all for blaming trump for covid but lets be a little objective here. this was a cultural problem, not a leadership problem. what was hillary really gonna do to cut deaths down to 100k or whatever you're implying? most of the country has masks in place, and the vaccine would have arrived at the same time
I'm not the biggest Hillary supporter in the world, but I can at least admit that she would have taken the threat seriously from the jump as opposed to Trump moving goalposts. Hell, he cares about money more than people, could have made a shytload of money on MAGA masks early on but instead he downplayed it to the point it crippled the country. There was no plan of attack because the leader of the free world didn't take it seriously. Pretty evident now given the lack of any vaccine rollout plan from the Trump administration. There would still be loss of life under a hypothetical Hillary Clinton administration, but taking on the pandemic would have been nowhere near as disastrous as it wound up being. At least there would have been a unified message as opposed to states fending for themselves to figure it out.
This is probably the realistic range of loss of life if Hillary were President as opposed to Trump.
