As many black africans as they have in France, they should be putting everything into supporting him. He'd be a legend in that country if he won the Tour for Intermarche.

I'm not sure what type of rider he'll become as this is his first season at the World Tour level but so far he looks to be more a one day classics specialist/puncheur/sprinter than a GC rider for a Grand Tour. In France to become the type of legend you're on about he just has to win on the Champs Elysees or win Paris-Roubaix which are more achievable than the overall Tour win.

Now he is a threat to win the Sprinter Jerseys for a GT.

I was tripping. They changed the channel of the tour.

I couldn’t find it for a second.

Makes no sense for Vingegaard to output more power than WvA while being like 15kg lighter :manny: Danish rider + Dutch team is kind of a notorious combo :pachaha:

At the same time, it made no sense for Van Aert to be that good in the mountains lol

Anyway I now remember how much I hated their dominance 2 years ago and welcomed Pogacar and UAE fukkery with open arms.
Now I'm back in the Jumbo hate train full time :pacspit:

He was a World Champion and won 2 Big Classics before the cancer.
Sure but on a Tour or a Giro, that doesn't mean much. World Champions can win at best few stages but are average overall. Lance became "magically" a monster after his cancer.

Sounds like you're making excuses for all the other dopers he beat.

Cycling is not really popular among Africans and Arabs in France. And I don't believe in Eritrea's potential (or Rwanda). These countries seem to produce only pure climbers that underperform in time trials, like Quintana, which mean they won't be able to win a Tour.
However, the best potential for a black cyclist to emerge are the French Caribbeans IMO, particularly Guadeloupe. Cycling is pretty popular over there, they race and have a local Tour. France had black Caribbean cyclists in the past. A lot of speed cyclists at the Olympics are French Caribbeans.

He was way more doped than the other dopers, and I'm not even talking about the US Postal team as a whole compared to other teams.

He won 2 stages in La Tour. 93 and 95.

I get it you don't like Lance but you're acting like he was the only one doping? Late 80's all through the 90's and 00's majority of the Peleton were on EPO. But considering the results he had shown prior to the cancer. They aren't red flags compared to other riders in the era.

No, I think they all juice. Same with track&field and swimming athletes at the Olympics. I'm simply saying that they are not doped on the same level. There is a huge difference in quality when it comes to medical substances. Some former Soviet countries are still using cheap roids or EPO VS the new undetectable shyt like Aicar probably used by Froome and the Sky team few years ago. And since Armstrong, we also know that big teams/countries can influence the anti doping institutions. And yeah I don't like Lance, he was/is an arrogant bully.
