I like Miles Teller but Glen Powell(hangman) might of outshined him in this movie

Saw it this weekend and would recommend it to anyone. Having Val Kilmer in there was a real treat.

True true! I was mainly referring to the theatrical release. This was supposed to hit in Summer of 2020. And.. well, we all know why that didn't happen.

I've been a fan of Powell since Everybody Wants Some (great movie btw) but I'd say Hangman's character is much easier to pull off than Rooster.

He was obviously meant to BE the new generation version of Maverick. Even down to the fact that

He was chosen to be the "reserve" back on the Carrier, yet he swoops in at the last second like Han Solo and saves the day.
