I found myself legitimately rooting for Maverick like 3-4 different times. Like "come on maverick, you can do it "

Good point. Maverick was such an a-hole in the original that when I rewatched it I was glad he didn't realistically have a chance to take the trophy from Iceman .

But in the sequel, when he "shot down" all the trainees in simulated combat, I was like "YEAH...teach them all a lesson!"

My boy saw this 2 years ago at a screening and said it was one of the worst movies he ever saw so they shelved it and had to do some rewrites.

Creed was pretty good not gonna lie
