Yeah I don't get it. The 90 movie had a lot of goofiness in it too. The Pee Wee Herman, Mikey using Turtle Wax for his soreness, then dancing to tequila and calling it "ninjutsu" Ralph walking out of Critters, the fact that kids are running away from home to join up with a karate syndicate that specializes in bootlegging apparently, Mikey conversing with a pizza delivery boy through a sewer grate

it wasn't a movie made only for kids though. It was just an overall good movie. They didn't seek to make a "childrens" movie.

Yeah no doubt but there were still "silly" things in it. Just like there are silly things in the turtle comics

They market it to kids, thus the push to sell action figures. Kids can be from 8-16 years, not preschool children.

finally saw it yesterday, I went in expected to hate it but it wasn't bad at all

I damn near expected Raph to start coughing up W-2 forms the way Shredder was givin him that work in the lab

The Turtles movie cost $125 million to make, and with a domestic gross so far of $145.6 million, it definitely is on track to being a moneymaker for the studio. The film is also doing well overseas with a total so far of $93 million, and some significant expansion still to come.

Movie was trash...mainly because Megan Fox is trash and isn't convincing AT ALL.

They got the Turtles right though. If there was more focus on them then this movie would have been a lot better.

I'm in agreement with everyone else. The Turtles were awesome, enjoyed them from when they arrived. EVERYTHING else was bad. Story, script, acting...all terrible. The first 20 mins or so until the Turtles showing up was very hard to get through.
