Watched it last night and I said "meh, I bet I'll still see it" Even though I didn't like the first one and I didn't like Lights Out either
same..but this one looks like it might go into some origins shyt so im giving this sequel a chance

August 11th. Guess they must have felt confident in the film and did an early screening for some critics to build buzz.
Considering how tepid the first was smart thing to do
Lights out was meh. I didn't hate it,and there was a few things I liked but overall it was just run of the mill.
Saw an early screening. Shyt was way better than the first. Got a lot of crowd reaction. I really enjoyed it.
My only issue is this was filled with scenes where the characters make dumb horror flick decisions. Way to cliche and predictable. They finessed it enough to make it entertaining tho
Saw this tonight. It was very very dope. Dude clearly learned from James wan as far as staging and setting up scares and just atmosphere and tension. Also a nice tie in to the first Annabelle movie for anyone interested.
My one complaint is there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when characters heard another character screaming
