The common belief is that ghosts to appear to kids, in real life, in different forms. Because children are more susceptible to those influences while adults are less likely to believe in those manifestations Bc our minds are more closed off. I think this part is playing off those concepts. Dogs and kids have a sense when their is an entity or presence in the room; they’re more sensitive to that. That’s the reason you see little kids in most paranormal movies - think The Sixth Sense etc. Children are receptors.

I can't stand Terry's wife. I know her man died but fukkin hell

She is so damn dumb, it’s frustrating. Every decision that she makes is wrong off her stupidity. The worst attitude ever. Her daughter tells her about a man in the room night after night and all she does is nothing - “it’s your imagination”, nevermind that there’s a killer roaming the town and a little boy in her school was killed. Then she keeps lying or deliberately leaving out information. I hate her. “mam, we need to speak to your daughter” - terry’s wife: “she’s just having bad dreams, go to bed sweetie”

She is so damn dumb, it’s frustrating. Every decision that she makes is wrong off her stupidity. The worst attitude ever. Her daughter tells her about a man in the room night after night and all she does is nothing - “it’s your imagination”, nevermind that there’s a killer roaming the town and a little boy in her school was killed.

Yea I hear you all of the adults except for Holly are stupid but I think that's the power of this thing. It casts doubts and make people unsure to the point that wrong decisions are made and misery and dread follow. This thing is pure fukkin evil. Holly the only one who is smart enough to see what it's doing and what's happening.

Holly lost me when she agreed to go with the possessed cop dude- (what’s his name, Jack??)

his face being beat to a pulp and bruised beyond recognition didn’t clue her in. and she is smart enough to put together all the case facts but not smart enough to see that going with him alone to a vacant barn is not questionable

Not really. No. He’s more sinister and evil than “IT” - the fact that he feeds off death and depression to create more death. He’s a manifestation of evil with more far reaching consequences. The fact that he dopplegangs innocent people for no reason.
