Why would you get on stage at The Oscars and make a joke about Jada's hair?

The joke about Javier and Penelope made sense in the context of the show. Jada is only there as Will's wife so a personal shot like that was unnecessary especially when she has a medical condition. Keep the comedy centered around the show and don't go beyond that. The joke wasn't even funny.
