Damn, I just read Pedro Pascal is hardly ever actually in the Mandalorian suit. In fact, dude wasn't actually physically playing Mando in episode 4 at all. He just did the voiceovers

Lateef Crowder and Brendan Wayne are doing a lot of the physical Mando acting. I guess Pedro will be more involved physically once Mando takes the helmet off.

Episode was absolute fire. Definitely the 1st to live up to the darker freakier side of Star Wars premise that Favreau had.

The 2nd to last scene felt a bit like a cop out and family friendly stuff but other than that it was great

Maybe I’m in the minority but I love that these are one offs with an underlying story vs the usual 13 episode story everyone is doing now. It reminds me of the old Hercules and Xena from the 90’s you can just hop in and enjoy an episode without being confused who is who and all that.

Incredible Hulk tv show, A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf, MacGyver, and on and on and on. Same format. This first season is Favreau working out the technical kinks and getting his feet wet. They're really working by the numbers in a lot of ways. Even so the show resonates with viewers because the techniques used for the storytelling still work.

They can't continue being this basic in S02 though, they'll need to hit the ground running.

Mando growing a conscience? He was putting people in body bags in earlier eps but he let them traitorous killers live?

About the vampire-teeth twileks: Bib Fortuna (Jabba the Hutt's aide from Episode 6) did have a whole mouthful of sharp fangs so maybe ol' girl & her bruh inherited some sort of twilek DNA defect/mutation that gave them fewer sharp teeth....

And about the Mandalorian going all Batman/Jason Vorhees/stealthy on the prison ship: the Mando did display this skill in Episode 1 when he suddenly appeared out of nowhere behind the blue alien bounty before he threw him into the carbon freezing chamber.

I enjoyed this episode very much. To me, director Rick Famuyiwa is the MVP on the roster of current directors & should be on deck more often because IMHO he's directed the best episodes thus far.

This week's episode was the most action packed and thrilling episode yet. I have to admit i am a little dissappointed at the short episodes i think every episode should be around 50 minutes.
