I know. Which is why I said it works if you've only seen the OT. The prequels introduced thousands of Jedi, including a council of them in the galaxy's capital, so people not knowing doesn't really work now.

I know. See above. Having the Jedi so prevalent in the prequels kind of kills the whole "people forgot" and "ancient religion" angle.

"Guardians pf peace and justice in the galaxy" comes from the originals. They were always set up to be an important factor in the universe before "the dark times, before the Empire and a young Jedi named Darth Vader".

Also, thousands in a vast universe of gazillions. There's more natives living in the jungles of Brazil then there were Jedi in that universe. That's not a lot. Aside from the chancellors not a lot of Senators interact with Jedi. And outside of Coruscant the chances of encountering a Jedi are, again, smaller than any comparison you can make yo any "foreign" group you can think of right now. There's literally thousand times more terrorists on our planet right now than there were Jedi in the prequels.

You're really going to compare Brazilian natives and terrorists to a group of

- superhuman peacekeeper wizards known for their laser swords
- who have been around for thousands of years
- that have their own special council in the galaxy's capital
- which is part of a galaxy-wide government
- who acted as military leaders for a galaxy-wide war
- that were accused of a hostile political takeover by the galaxy's head of state and exterminated

And in 20-30 years almost everyone across the galaxy doesn't know any of this? It's a problem created by the prequels.

Guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy/Republic comes from the original movie.
Them having done so for over a thousand generations comes from the original movie.
Them having special powers comes from the original movie.
Vader/Empire ending them comes from the original movie.
The average person not knowing about them or believing them comes from the original movie.
Them being generals in the Clone Wars comes from the original movie.

Literally everything comes from the same scene too :deadrose:

The only thing the prequels added is the council and the relationship to the senate, which the average person 30 years later in a different part of the galaxy might not know about.

Thats not a problem, you completely ignored his point. The entire galaxy is a big place. China is a huge government and you probably can’t name it’s leadeship or it’s branches of government.
