Only scene I think he kinda over acted was when he spazzes out on his team. Outside of that, he's playing an outgoing charismatic character so I don't know what else people want him to do. He show's great examples of contained rage in his scenes with DeNiro and Pesci towards the end. The way he portrayed Hoffa's stubborn, arrogant, and oblivious nature was Oscar worthy.

Not the vibe I'm getting from Pacino

HBO didn't fukk up Boardwalk Empire the dumb ass Michael Pitt ruined it with his egotistical bullshyt and it messed up the main story line. He pulled the same shyt on Hannibal and got cut from that show... difference is they were able to move around him being in that role. Dude thinks he really is Kurt Cobain or something....:mjlol:

He got black balled from industry

He's only done two projects since 2017

I have never watched Once Upon A Time in America? Is it worth watching? I loved The Irishman, Goodfellas, and Casino. Since I loved all three of those movies will I like Once Upon A Time in America?

You'll probably like it, but I didn't think it was better than the other three.

Edit - The fish conversation in the car has me :dead:

Man, nikkas ain't got no chill. I'm seeing mf's talkin' about this shyt already done surpassed Casino & Goodfellas?! On what planet, my nikka? Movie was a nice lil homage but it's not on the level. And like some breh in here said, the fact that this is essentially bs plot wise knocks it down a few more notches even.

I know that much. But the MAIN plot of the story is fake. I can see names, dates, location and dialogue, but the entire premise?

This would be like if Malcolm X ended with him being killed by a Chinese guy
I wouldn't say it's that drastic. How Hoffa died and the exact events that led to his death is unknown. All we had was a bunch of theories and this was one

I finished this tonight, and although the first half hour or so didn’t pull me in, I really got into it once Hoffa entered the picture. I’m a sucker for the types of stories where old dudes express a lot of guilt and regret at the way they lived or the things they did, it’s part of why Logan was so big to me a couple years ago. So I got more into this as the film went on, and once it reached it’s climatic sequence, I was completely enthralled with it. I didn’t really expect to fukk with this so heavily but I really dug. In a way it felt like a deconstruction and examination of not just the three central characters, but of the mob/crime subgenre as a whole and almost like a farewell to it in a way

Once Upon A Time in America is a dope movie. It's completely different from the other movies, so I wouldn't make the assumption that you would like it, just because you like those three movies. You should give it a watch though.
