be real, you seeing this movie b/c some 15 year old girl is in it? as much as I like the internet's sudden crush Keanu Reeves*, i still think the rumored cast for this movie fukkin suckkkks on paper. I'm most excited for the Korean dude who i don't even know b/c he sounds like a badass. I don't wanna see Angelina, Salma Hayek or Kumail in a Marvel movie, and Robb Stark could be 100 other guys for all i know.
*how did Keanu become the internet's favorite thing? it's like someone turned a switch and he became a meme about a month ago. i mean, i like the guy, but he's the new bacon. remember when social media was all about people nutting over bacon. ah, the good ol days...
Don’t go then?I don't wanna see Angelina, Salma Hayek or Kumail in a Marvel movie, and Robb Stark could be 100 other guys for all i know.
b/c all of a sudden every single person on the net decided they wanted to cum their pants over Keanu Reeves. it was like he was an overnight sensation. all of a sudden everyone collectively thought "hey, Keanu is great!" it was weird. this happens from time to time with random shyt.Keanu is in a very successful franchise where he is the namesake, how is it a mystery to you?
Robb Stark just won an Emmy in a lead role of a TV show. I watchedit and he was very good, he got next.
Excited, no but I don't have a problem with anyone cast besides Angelina. She does nothing for me, but I am not mad she is in it. The rest are whatever and I'm excited to see Richard Madden get bigger roles. See the Batman thread I thought he should be cast as Batman in the next movie.b/c all of a sudden every single person on the net decided they wanted to cum their pants over Keanu Reeves. it was like he was an overnight sensation. all of a sudden everyone collectively thought "hey, Keanu is great!" it was weird. this happens from time to time with random shyt.
I have a hard time questining Marvel's casting choices at this point, but if this rumored cast excites you, I think you might be lying.
Marvel is set to have a big presence at San Diego Comic-Con this year, both in regards to Marvel Comics and Marvel Studios. Marvel has a plethora of events going on in the comics at the moment, most notably Absolute Carnage, but the movie side is a bit more mysterious. That's because their latest release Spider-Man: Far From Home is the true end to Phase 3 of their Marvel Cinematic Universe, and no other films have been officially announced yet going forward. There are some we expect to see of course, but nothing has been confirmed by Marvel. That said, their latest tease seems to suggest that The Eternals will be getting a spotlight at the event.
Marvel took to social media to share a very interesting post featuring The Eternals. They included a photo of the group and added the caption "Who are The Eternals? Get the full lowdown on this god-like race of super-beings with a new #MarvelUnlimited reading list: http://bit.ly/2M0S6pA "
If you head to the link you'll get a full description of the group, as well as some of their biggest stories and arcs, including 1976's Eternals, run from Jack Kirby, Neil Gaiman's Eternals run (2006), and storylines that you can find out more about the individuals like Ikaris, Thena, Sersi, Makkari, and more.
You can check out the official description of The Eternalsbelow.
"The Eternals are a race of god-like beings locked in a millennium-old conflict with the less evolved Deviants and their originators, the Celestials. Each Eternal has watched civilizations burgeon and die from their domain of Olympia – they are immortals blessed with strange, sometimes monstrous, powers."
So, why is this important? Unto itself, it is just an informative post, but releasing it the week of Comic-Con ahead of several panels probably indicates they want fans who aren't as familiar with the Eternals to get a crash course, paving the way for a reveal or two regarding them.
We already know The Eternals movie is coming, but don't know much more than that, so this primer is a solid indicator that we'll get more details during the annual event. Of course, it could be nothing, but it would seem odd for Marvel to get you up to speed on a group this out of the mainstream without a plan.
“Crazy Rich Asians” star Gemma Chan is in talks to join Marvel’s “The Eternals” sources tell Variety.
Chan would join previously announced cast members Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek and Kumail Nanjiani. Earlier this year, Chan portrayed Minn-Erva in “Captain Marvel,” but its unknown if she will be playing the same role in “The Eternals.” Some sources have indicated that her part in “The Eternals” would be a completely different role, which if true, would mark one of the first times a star will have played two different characters in the same cinematic universe.
Marvel declined to comment.
Created by Jack Kirby in 1976, the comic book is set millions of years in the past, when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans to create super-powered individuals known as the Eternals, along with the villainous Deviants. The two groups battled each other throughout history. The Eternals also warred with Greek, Roman and Norse deities before leaving Earth to explore the stars.
“The Eternals” will be the 25th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s set to hit theaters Nov. 6, 2020.
Chloe Zhao, whose credits include “The Rider” and “Songs My Brothers Taught Me,” is directing “The Eternals” from a script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige will produce.
Outside of “Captain Marvel,” Chan was a scene-stealer in Warner Bros.’ breakout hit “Crazy Rich Asians.” She was also seen in the Focus drama “Mary Queen of Scots” with Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. She is repped by WME and Independent Talent Group.
Maybe she is on some time loop shyt like Cap.
