Jamie Dimon - just don't got that dog in em
Steve Ballmer? - just a puppet
Tim Cook - billionaire, but he didn't make apple so he don't got that dog in em
Robert Iger? If he had that dog in him he would've made his own Disney. What a loser
I mean, every NBA player got that dog in him, but not at the same level.

Jayson Tatum has enough dog in him to be a supermax player, but does he have the same level of dog in him as Jimmy Butler? No.

Embiid has more dog in him than people give him credit for, but he looks weak next to Jokic, who has even more dog in him.

Tom doesn't have Logan's level of tenacity, among other things. I don't want to hate because Tom is in a great position, career-wise and financially, but Tom is a white guy who cleans up nice and doesn't step on toes. That's enough to be a puppet CEO, but it's not like Logan grinding people up and actually creating the company that Tom's lucky enough to have survived within.

And the original point of that post is that millions ain't billions, and when it comes to getting in the room with POTUS, Tom can do that now, but Shiv will forever be able to do that.

As shytty as a person that Ken is, I feel bad for him. The only thing he was trained to do in this life he just lost. He lost the business, his siblings, and got put in his place that his kids aren't really his. All 3 now realize that they are nothing. In Roman's case he's finally free of the burden, in Shiv's case she finally realized taking a backseat to Tom is her best option. And Ken is left with nothing, just a broken shell of a man
I think whether he loses his siblings depends on him. Shiv/Rome would be open to mending fences imo. Kendall would just have to get over the Shiv vote.

That was what ppl were saying at first tbh.

I would also argue Tom has some dog in him when he betrayed Shiv/siblings in S3. We've only really seen Tom "bow down" to Logan, and now Mattson. Every other angle we've seen Tom play the game and cover his ass along the way (keeping those files from the cruse lines).

It could have been worse. They could have used the money they made off the waystar sale and started their own media company like they discussed in the beginning of the season. You already know that was gonna fail and was the equivalent to lighting billions of dollars on fire. Tough pill for Ken to finally swallow that he ain’t built for this shyt, but at least he still has his billions.

What has Jimmy Buter done that Tatum hasn't already being 8 years younger?

2021 Giannis swept him out the first round where Jimmy averaged 14 points that series.

Last year Tatum beat him in 7 in Miami.

Tip my cap to Jimmy for avenging both but chill with the recency bias.

Im curious to her thought process and when she decided to not go with Kendall. Like she seemed with it 20mins before the meeting(When Ken sits down in the chair). She was smiling and shyt. In the meeting with Stewey she is making sure he is with it. Then she and stewey go to convince Sandy to flip. After that....Shiv seems more hesitate.........not smiling. I wonder what Sandy said to her. There's also a theory that when she saw Rome's stitches busted, she took note of it as well. :jbhmm:

What was it like directing Sarah Snook during Shiv’s moment of realization that she can’t have it be Kendall? And why can’t she?

One of the things I love most about “Succession” is that what seems in the moment shocking and surprising is screamingly inevitable if you step back and perhaps watch the show a second time. That’s the case with Logan and Tom’s interaction at the end of Season 3, or Kendall’s press conference at the end of Season 2. As soon as I watch it a second time or consider it more — how the heck could Shiv ever really vote for her brother? You can track all four seasons, of course, but you can also track her through just this episode. Once Shiv learns about Matsson’s betrayal, she pivots incredibly quickly by necessity. It’s a survival mechanism. At that point, “What’s my least worst option?” Bam! There’s my new alliance with my siblings. And there’s an elation that comes with that, walking away from the responsibility of ambition.

But of course, that’s an illusion. Once they get back to New York, and the closer it comes to that moment where she has to raise her hand, Sarah knows instinctively to feel those layers — shedding those defenses those delusions. When they’re in Logan’s office, she sees how Stewy and Kendall are a couple of cronies together, and she sees how sidelined she could be by that relationship. When Kendall puts his feet up on Logan’s desk, there’s that visceral appalled reaction we see from Sarah. As she walks down the hallway into the boardroom, in the moment we might interpret it as determination and focus. But on a second view, we might see it as doubt. As Kendall struts around the board meeting as if he owns the place, we cut to Shiv to see the erosion of that lie she is telling herself. By the time she actually has to raise her hand, it’s as impossible as it is for Roman in Season 1.

It's more like why hasn't Tatum done more than he has with the talent he's got and the talent alongside him when Butler has done about as much with less talent and less talented teammates? I didn't mean to turn this into the 'seum, so I'll stipulate that you are right about your take on Tatum and bring it back to the original point that the amount of got that dog in 'em to become CEO is huge, but still way less than the got that dog in 'em to hand pick the CEO.

He gets a rookie coach every year. And Brad Stevens failed upward landing GM.

Butler has Spoelstra and Pat Riley.

I don't know who their succession counterparts are but. . . .Pat Riley has built winners for 4 decades.

But yeah - I'm not going to muck up the thread with sports talk. I try to avoid it if anything.

I would love if Tatum could level up defensively on the ball I'll give Jimmy that absolutely.

Sheds some light and makes sense. Her siding with Kendall after finding out Mattson wont choose her was the "emotional/hate pick" stuff.
Shiv also did a side eye to Kendal in the boardroom when he went "Come on do it for my dad" to Frank before the vote.

Pat's counterpart would probably be Logan, except more competent when picking a successor lol

Pat Riley is harsh, but he makes the people around him excel. Logan doesn't do that.

Riley is the rare guy who seems like it'd be hell to work for him, but also, you can't deny that he turns out competence and even excellence under his watch.
I cant argue against this statement :manny:

Nah b that's not how it works, when Giannis won the chip he was the GOAT, now he would get shut down in every rec league

I agree with people that Tom didn’t really win to a certain extent. nikka damn near sold his soul for that shyt. And he didn’t really look like some one who won anything. But he’s gonna finally get that money he’s always wanted for sure.
