Yea the subjects may come from a similar background but the context behind both shows are different.

The comparison is that if you're not paying attention you might think that Succession is "Wealth Porn" or "Lifestyle Porn" like Billions.

I just think they have completely different vibes. One is essentially a show about a family, the other is about an Attorney General going after a shady Wall Street honcho. Sure, they both involve people who are wealthy but they show them through different contexts. One is displaying old money types (Succession) and the other is displaying New Money (Billions). One has a dualistic cat and mouse conflict (Billions) while the other has more to do with internal strife (Succession). Billions has more of a thriller type of vibe to it, while Succession is more drama focused, although they both utilize light-hearted humor but the premise of both shows give different vibes.
They are obviously not the same show, Succession is loosely based on the Redstones and Murdochs and Billions is loosely based on Steve Cohen, Preet Bharara and Eliot Spitzer.
They are both however, depictions of extremely rich elite members of New York society who wield power greater than many can dream of. Billions depicts them as larger than life figures, full of wisdom, guile and general suaveness, while Succession doesn't pay such deference to them, Kendall is a fukking druggie/klepto, Roman is a sex pest who can't actually have sex (mostly thanks to excessive drug use), Connor is Connor and Tom is a loser. Logan is probably the least pathetic but would Billions have Axe piss on the floor in a state of confusion?

They would probably have Wags do it, but they would do it to make him look like a ROCK STAR. Then bring in Wendy to magically fix him and let the two of them bounce Criterion collection references off of each other.

I think so, she is easily my favorite character on the show. Isn't always on screen and doesn't have many lines but is so impactful.

Shiv played herself out of position. Her insecurity is her kryptonite, Logan not reassuring her got her nervous and acting out. Tom is the emptiest suit ever. lol
Kendall close the deal relating to Naomi on the 'in the recovery but not really' tip. And he wasn't looking for any credit. I wonder if they get together. Roman must have read the liner notes to one of Common's worst albums cause who knows what he is talking about.
