How do we feel about Shiv being part of a Bernie Sanders style campaign specifically aimed to ruin her Dad and his business? Not worth it IMO, especially if you don't believe the message. The vitamin D is clouding her judgement.

nah, I got the impression that shiv's new candidate is extreme right wing, keeping mexicans in cages and sheit. Logan is more of a George Soros/Warren Buffet type. Shiv called the candidate Stalin in a plaid shirt. I know Russia is know for being leftist. but you go extreme left and and extreme right, you end up in a circle. Even the Nazis started out as socialists, its what socialist means in German. Shiv candidate isn't for free press, Logan is for press as a business and machine.

Plenty of these media companies like Disney and Comcast buying each other up voted for Obama.

I agree that the Hitler comment was a little pushy. Instead of allowing the viewers to determine how they truly feel about Logan, I felt like the writers are trying to force a frame with that bit of dialogue. He doesn't feel like Hitler to me.

exactly. i know hes no the greatest dad but he is your dad at the end of the day. if he watns to ruin teh company like they think he will. why not just let him it is his company. start your own thing. they all have the means and resources to do so.

i was thinking this and for kendall it seems like he's really connected to the company and wants to see it do well. seems like he feels like his dad is out of touch with it by sticking with TV instead of going digital.

Gonna have to rewatch this more closely, but this show is dope. Perfect balance between drama, comedy, plot and compelling characters.

All the billions comparisons got me curious about that show now too. Might have to watch it next

Billions is cool to. Still not sure which I like better. Need more eps of this before I decide. Billions is not comedic tho. Only thing they got in common is they both show a peak into the 1% lifestyle.

The candidate is meant to be a Bernie Sanders parody. That's why when they were going on the station (which is a Fox News parody), Shiv says that she expected them to come after him like "There's a Red in the bed!". Her plan was to have him "pivot" to become more moderate.

Billions is cool to. Still not sure which I like better. Need more eps of this before I decide. Billions is not comedic tho. Only thing they got in common is they both show a peak into the 1% lifestyle.

There's comedy in Billions, but it's more "Entourage" / lifestyle comedy.

this might sound wierd but im growing to be on team logan. idk why but i feel like hes still much more wise than any of these young bucks ideas. and idk the fact they want to take him out bugs me as their own kids.

liek the girl said that kendall tried to buy. their name is their name. it wont matter what they want to do unless they have a shell company. meanwhile logan doesnt give a fukk and just wants business done and seems like he will find any way.

He isn't Soros or Buffet, think more Rupert Murdoch (owns the media bodies that dictate national discourse and opinion and has presidents on speed dial ) or maybe even Sumner Redstone. Logan isn't free press at all that's why he's buying up local TV.

If you like this show then I recommend Billions for sure. It’s a comedy with a good mix of drama added in. Kinda different from Succession because it’s definitely goofier.

The first season is up and down since they were trying to figure out how to balance the comedy and drama. They also rushed some things. By the second season they’ve embraced their role and stopped taking itself so seriously.
