Only explanation is he doesn't know or doesn't give a fukk. This is bad policy - economically AND politically. The president may be unable to cancel student loan debt (for federal loans)...but he can clearly delay payments. He could delay them as long as he's president in fact. Now is not the time to restart.

The WH is delusional. They're looking at top level numbers and saying yup the economy is doing great. Which may be true but given inflation, rising rent etc etc...it's not being felt by ordinary Americans. Anything to help folks is welcome. Especially fukking now, with inflation running wild.
