Just realized the dualities in the final scene

:wow:

The Police song Every Breath You Take was playing, and a lot of ppl over the years have mistaken it for a sweet song, and in that way it fits the happy mood of the school dance. But the song is actually about a stalker, and so as the camera spins to the upside down, the Mind Flayer is stalking them and watching them, with every breath they take, etc. This may have been obvious to a lot of others but I just now caught it.

I got it but it didn't really make sense, the
the mind flayer can't watch shyt because its connection to the right side up world is severed, the only connection seems to be inanimate objects that exist, but that would have nothing to do with watching the people there or what is happening, unless it finds a way to reopen the gate its useless.

Another thing that bothers me is if 11 could always close the gate, why didn't papa or them ask her to close it at the end of the first season. That no one though of closing the gate until Will tapped it out is absurd to me.

TV shows do shyt like that all the time though :yeshrug:

At least it ain't like we had to wait two weeks

Yeah but Netflix shows should actually realize they are bingeable. Most people see Stranger Things 2 and say well eh. let me watch all this shyt within two days. One of netflix weaknesses is that they still act like people are going to watch an episode week to week like its regular TV. To be truthful with netflix shows im either gonna binge or im not gonna watch.

Just finished this season and overall enjoyed it, it takes awhile to get going but has some great standout moments :obama:. I'll put most of my thoughts in spoilers

The bond the kids shared was one of the best parts of season 1, season 2 kept certain characters away but when they all came together :wow:.

You really have to give props to the casting of the kids, it's hard to find talented kid actors (see The Strain :francis:) and they really nailed it with the whole gang. I have to salute Will this season, as he really shined compared to his role in the 1st season. They asked him to do a lot and I thought he delivered some of the best moments, all little homie wants to do is play DnD and draw with his crayons and the smoke monster keeps fukking with him :mjcry:

Steve was a nice surprise as well, Jean Ralphio's little brother looking out for the kids :ehh:.

Can't say the same for racist Rob Lowe :mjpls:. Driving his car fast like that with kids in the area :picard:, had a few :dame: moments with Steve as well.

Lucas and As Told by Ginger aka Mad Max :ehh:

Bob - Easy Peasy :mjcry:- went to the Radio Shack in the sky

Will's mother continues to be the only parent in the show worth a damn :mjlol:. She stays looking after Will, while their kids fight demons and break military coverups while they sleep and read romance novels in the bathtub.

I do hope season 3 shifts away from the demi dogs and offers up a new threat, despite the teaser at the very end though.

Good points. Maybe the mind flayer doesn't exactly know that they're in there but just suspects they are? Unless they're another portal somewhere? I dunno. Yeah I guess the ending just seemed like a way for them to have a cliffhanger.

Honestly I bet they just didn't think about it and tacked it on because it seemed cool.
