For me there's a trilogy of how Jay fukked up in his responses:

1. Superugly was just petty as fukk, was released too fast AND Nas had taken ALL of the power out of that diss by talking about that Carmen shyt up front.

2. Radio interview, you guys already talked about this.

3. Blueprint II (the song): him crying about how much he gives to charity, doing an Austin Powers impression AND the final nail in the coffin "I will not lose for even in defeat there's a valuable lesson learned so it evens up for me".

Them Jay/Nas fan wars were something, me and @jayshiggs were on some Hulk/Thor shyt battering the jigganauts :wow:

Blueprint 2 was the best diss track Jay ever put out imo :yeshrug:

He actually brought facts to the table (Nas being a hypocrite, nobody giving Jay credit for being charitable after 9/11, jungle not being on the same level, etc

I agree, that was one of my biggest gripes, this spidey just didn't seem too much like a can do innovative brainy nerd type. If he's going to idolize Stark it should be to glean his ingenuity but he came off like a groupie with a man crush looking to stark as a father figure. These scenes weren't as endearing or likeable but then again I never read his comics. Peeps that have seem unconcerned:leon:

It's fine for him to be a kid and look up to him. He looked up to the fantastic four in the same way but ultimately he decided against going Tony's route. Now if he was a grown ass man like that I'd cry foul. He looked up to him as an adult for a while and Tony gave him a job and a place to stay when he didn't have either but eventually he chose to go his own route

Yeah that's the wrong idea breh:russ:

Okay let me rephrase. That's one interpretation but it's not gospel. Especially when there are other adaptations which are better and deeper It's not end all be all. They took liberties as well

i'm curious, school me on why you're not fond of the 90's fox series. in what aspects do you believe it was inaccurate?

i'm asking because that was the cartoon that got me into spiderman and to this day i was always very fond of it.

are you talking about the proposition at the end? They undid anything they were trying to accomplish when he said that was a test right? Shows he only made that choice cuz he telegraphed what he thought was "reverse psychology"

Nah I disagree. Test or no test that was his choice. In the moment he thought it was real and that works for me.

It's cool it just hasn't aged well and it's not the best. I don't like someone holding it up as this beacon of spider man when spectacular is better. That's all lol. It's a great gateway drug but outside of nostalgia I kinda don't have anything left for it. I watch it now with adult eyes and it's just fine. Doesn't have the depth of spectacular or the level of writing or the plotting. The best episodes of the 90s show are really good but the bad ones are really low. The writing is the best part about it but even that was limited.

It's a show that served its purpose and since it's spider man I do have a spot in my heart for it but like I said when I suggest a show to someone it's going to be the best show not the second best show. Had nothing to do with inaccuracies because every show takes liberties and does what it needs to do. I could bytch about substituting mj for Gwen during the green goblin arc or saying the hobgoblin came first or the "insidious 6" and electro being the red skulls son or grand son but like I said they all take liberties.

The older I've gotten the less dope it's become :manny:

I hated flash but that was it. Feel like they did too much w/ the multicultural shyt but it's whatever

And the Joseph Gordon Levitt as Robin shyt they did w/ MJ is half wack half interesting :ld:

When he went to liz's house and shyt got real tho :damn::pachaha:
Yeah, I found the Michelle -> MJ thing pretty useless. Similar to Robin in the DKR.
