C'mon son, we all watch movies. That's why the montage exists. You can't tell me they couldn't have done a minute long montage of showing his business expanding and his grip becoming more ruthless. Especially because it's literally all the characterization we get from the character until the third act.

I think Zendaya's MJ clearly has some big-time feelings for Peter. She was low-key stalkerish in this flick. I might be wrong but I've never seen a Peter/Mj relationship start where MJs the one watching Peter from afar like

It's kinda weird how split people are over Tobey's Spiderman. I think for people who grew up on the Raimi movies and those being their first intros to Spiderman, nothing is ever gonna top his performance. But I get it for the ones who grew up on the comics + cartoon

Yeah I get that, but at the same time I don't, a bully of today will still beat the piss out of you, it sounds more like a "nerd bully" rather than bullies we grew up with that still very much exist today.

Idk I was in NYC public schools from 1st grade until college throughout the 2000s and all the "bullies" so to speak were the little shyt arrogant pricks who were lowkey p*ssy but venomous with their words. The physically imposing ones wouldn't really gaf about you and were off on their own thing doing PSAL or banging. This is even more true for the specialized high schools where it's pretty much all nerds and rich kids, which it looks like the school in this movie was based off of. Tom Holland said he went undercover at Bronx Science, which is a specialized HS, as research for the role

I'd say this is my 4th favorite Spider-Man behind Tobey's first 2 spidey's and the first amazing Spider-Man. That's just if I was forced to rank them. But realistically this movie has a while different feel to it than those other 3.
