Act 1 of ASM2 was the best depiction of Spiderman ever...it stumbled after but that was pure webslinging wisecracking fun that wasn't matched until this in between ironman fanservice.

it was good. i wont hate. but no, it wasn't. that's disrespectful as shyt to spider-man 2, one of the best comic movies ever, which got damn-near everything about the character right except the levity when he fights.

it was not better than the spidey/ock fight on the train (or the clock tower... or the final fight). that's my opinion tho. what's not opinion is the film overall is damn-near awful.

electro? :camby:
stalking gwen? :camby:
the whole narrative of their relationship from part 1 to part 2? :camby:
pete brooding like bruce wayne for two damn movies? :camby:
the bullshyt storyline about his parents? :camby:

(pete's "parents" are named may and ben parker.. the rest of that shyt dont matter. the only time pete's parents have ever mattered was when they made his dad the creator of the symbiote in USM)

electro having musical voices in his head? :camby:
goblin 3.0 stalking pete for his blood when he has a facility capable of creating spider-man (AND power-boosting electro) at his beckon call? :camby:
angsty peter parker being out angsty'd by whiny aunt may? :camby:
rhino being played up to be a factor in the film only for scenes from the trailer to not even make the film? :camby:
rhino's armor CGI? :russ:
the movie's plot? :wtf:
gwen, knowing peter is being a fukking weirdo because her father died helping spider-man, insisting on helping spider-man? :rudy:
gwen, knowing her father died helping spider-man, deciding to help spider-man? :wtf:
spider-man, knowing gwen's father died helping spider-man, letting gwen help spider-man? :mindblown:

no amount of fun in the first 15 minutes makes up for how bad this movie was. with better material, garfield would've killed this role, no doubt. the material sucked. let's not shyt on better movies because andrew garfield showed potential.

Yeah...spiderman 2 is way better than ASM2... Who are you arguing with :dahell:

I was talking strictly about the "spiderman doing spiderman shyt" which the first parts of ASM2 did better than any others. Then things fell apart...i graded the movies earlier :francis:

not arguing. but if you gonna say act 1 of ASM2 was the best depiction of spider-man on film... dont see it. too many classic moments in SM2.
What breh is saying is the asm films nailed SPIDER MAN as a character on action scenes. And honestly it's true. The asm films absolutely nailed the look and feel of Spidey himself moving around and Web slinging.

He's not saying asm 2 is a better film. It isn't.

About the "Spider sense",Ya forgot about "Civil War"? Remember when Stark asked Peter why he put those goofy goggles on his mask n Peter told him it helped him "focus" all his new senses.

Feige talked about that a few days ago actually

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING: Kevin Feige Reveals Whether Spider-Sense Exists In The MCU

"No, I think he has it," Feige said in response to the theory that Spidey's fancy new suit and A.I. (named Karen) replaces his Spider-Sense. "And I think he has it with or without that suit. I think how we explore it in a cinematic sense will change. I mean, that was sort of a big showy part of previous versions and we thought that we'd make it more of an internal, sort of second nature thing for him."

"But there are ways coming up that will slowly hint at that and also just make it part of his, you know, his natural abilities. But we don't know that if it will be -- I think we'll explore it further down the line, but [it's] definitely him not the suit."

Ok first I wanna say this......

Gotdamn Marvel and Sony did it!

Took Gotham's (and literally DC's) greatest hero! And made him into a really good villain

I mean gotta give DC props on initially foreshadowing it

Keaton did his thing and I felt his purpose for what he was trying to do.

To my speculation to all the "bu bu bu bu but too much IM" whiners and complainers, I feel I called it correctly.

Spoiler but not really, dude was in pretty much every scene shown in commercials sans one scene from commercials.... that wasn't even in the movie and traded for one other quick scene. Yes his presence was definitely felt there but he wasn't all over this movie like people speculated in my opinion. I would be surprised if his screen time timed at over 10 mins..... 15 would be a stretch.

Some of the things that surprised me.... I'm gonna hold off for a few more days.

Tom convincingly did his thing as PP/SM

Martha
Tony was necessary to Peter's development. All of his roles were important and not forced. This movie was light, not forced. It had a lot of realism to it. I can't wait to see a future movie with Peter mentoring Mile's like Tony mentored Peter. Tom Holland is by far the best Peter Parker.
