My main problem with Spidey in the MCU and how it deviates from the source material is that Spidey is THE MU superhero. He's the only that inspires them all, on the low. Cap inspires them in a different way because he's the ultimate leader/figurehead but they always give Spidey his props for being someone they strive to be like. You can't do that with him being kid...especially with his being mentored by Tony fukkin Stark (MU/MCU resident a$$hole).

Which is smart because Iron Man/RDJ is a major selling point
...They going in expecting him.....and then get majority diverse cast that really represents Queens
I like Holland/RDJ chemistry so I don't mind them having the screen time.
It just looks like a rather generic Sony flick (yes I know Feige is heavily involved)
It is just a teaser and maybe they're saving/polishing up the good stuff.

They complain about iron man involvement in avengers....civil War (even though hes partof whole plot)

It's getting ridiculous. Who knew they could get even more dense. With each phase they get more desperate and dumb.

You ignore the context, breh. A lot of the deviations in the X-Men films flat out suck, and that is what people complain about. If you change some shyt that has proven to work for decades in comics, and then you don't make it work, that's a fukk up.
Matter of fact, don't act like folks didn't complain about the romantic angle between Banner and Widow, or Stark being the one who created Ultron instead of Pym, or how they turned the Mandarin into a white scientist after revealing the "first" to be a hired actor. The MCU has also faced enough scrutiny for deviating from the source material, stop playing into the hands of those who fight imaginary stan wars, breh.
Now I've said this already and I'll say it again, I don't think this movie needs Iron Man in it. That's one thing. But he is in it and so far I see nothing to assume he will distract from the movie, or even do as little as affect Peter's character (development).
I'm not ignoring context. When a complaint is as simple as "too much wolverine" or "I don't like days of future past because that's now how it was in the comics" that's silly. Much like the complaints about hulk and widows romance is silly. I don't feel like worrying about too much iron man and what that may or may not do to Petes development is wrong. It's a knee jerk reaction but it's not wrong.
Homie you think any criticism of the movies is a nitpick tho. Like every single one lol. You're my boy and that doesn't change but you feel like these movies are beyond reproach and any criticism of them is like a shot against the pope. But much like there are people here who are precious about the x men a lot of us are precious about spidey and have our preferences. Nothing wrong with that at all. As always I approach everything with an open mind but that doesn't mean I don't have my own concerns. Just hope they turn out to be all for nothing and that I love the movie.
