I think it's more that Spider-Man needs Iron Man to help him make a Billion when he can do it himself if they make a good enough movie

Batman had horrible movies dropping left and right until Nolan came and pushed out 2 Billion dollar movies without involving any other DC heroes. All he did was make a good/great movie, it's not that hard. Especially when Spiderman movies have been pulling 700M+ even when they're

Yes a lot of great stories have been told with multiple characters but a lot of them are also without that. You need a mix of both.

If you start doing it every single film it becomes gimmicky.

The audience wasn't really responding to the solo flicks anymore tho. The team-up films really got positive reviews overall, so this is what it will be until people get tired of it.

I actually would like to see more stand alone stories.

I don't think every film needs to be connected.


That goes for dc and marvel.


I think it would be dope if either studio was just like here's a comic book film,it's in our universe,but it's a stand alone story. It's not building to anything its just a self contained arc.

IMO the only reason people (casuals) are still going are because of the team-ups. DC knows damn well Supes 2 was gonna flop and they couldn't afford to have the ultimate superhero fail again.

I don't really mind Iron Man being in the movie. It kind of mirrors the more recent comics where he's Spidey's mentor and friend. I was actually kind of shocked to see him in the suit as I thought he was just going to be only Tony Stark. BTW, the international trailer is so, so much better. RDJ even posted that one on his FB page. I'm tossing the one that played on Jimmy Kimmel in the bushes.

They aren't friends tho...at all. He can't stand Tony. Spidey SHBFF is Torch. Spidey is practically family to the FF, fukks with a handful of X-Men, Hobie, weird friendship with Deadpool, he & Daredevil are cordial, tolerates Punisher if he has to, used to be cool with Captain Marvel for a while - that's about it.

To be fair though, a lot of cats complain with the liberties taken in the x men films but are cool with this one. I don't get it. Like you can't be sanctimonious about canon in one instance but then praise a deviation from it in the other.
