thoughts:

- didnt like the iron man presence in the trailer....i get it: he is the center of the mcu, but damn, for a spidey movie, i dont wanna see that much tony starks in the trailer....cause it makes you think how much of the movie is he in?.....hopefully we saw the majority of his scenes for the movie in the trailer and they just using him as a selling point; and they dont make this a team-up type movie...

- i'm curious how long the movie gonna be?....i ask cause spidey not a side/minor character like ant-man, so it seems they gonna try to put a lot in the movie to have him hit the ground running in the mcu....

- you can tell this is gonna take place around civil war...by that i mean, there will be some before cw, then his cw spot, then some after cw....

My main problem with Spidey in the MCU and how it deviates from the source material is that Spidey is THE MU superhero. He's the only that inspires them all, on the low. Cap inspires them in a different way because he's the ultimate leader/figurehead but they always give Spidey his props for being someone they strive to be like. You can't do that with him being kid...especially with his being mentored by Tony fukkin Stark (MU/MCU resident a$$hole).

Of course there's other ish like NotGanke

Him being just a kid (and later on a dude that still has to go to work on Monday) but still does his duties is all the more reason to be inspired by him.

That Stark shyt won't last long, he will idealize Tony at the start but I mean shyt, Pete got more heart than Tony (figuratively and literally)

And y'all nikkas in here furious over Marvel doing nothing more than marking territory.

As hard as they had to fight to gets rights back you can't really blame them

Stark in this movie is a statement of standard

"Just so we clear, this is MCU stamped"

How mad can you really be at that?

It's these Spider-Man hardcores, clowns still think Spider-Man's big when the last movie barely clocked 200M domestic :mjlol:

They think Iron Man/MCU needs Spider-Man when it's the other way around :mjlol:

Marvel didn't need the character to be part of the MCU, Sony did. Yet they think Marvel and Sony are gonna advertise and make a Spider-Man movie with no prominent Avenger or MCU dna :mjlol:

That's why the deal was made in the first place you dumb fukks :mjlol:

Yall need to cool it tho...drop the pitch forks and let Lord Marvel cook...you see RDJ in a trailer and you assume its a Iron Man / Spidey team up film :whoa:

Hes flying beside him at the end of the trailer like some kindve big shot:childplease:

Thats supposed to be the climax of the god damn trailer, and folks talkin bout "lets not make assumptions:whoa:"....u cant make this shyt up.

Im not assuming anything,Based on the trailers alone,i can tell you already its too much iron man.

Hes already reminding everybody how he created the costume, and making adjustments all willy nilly in Spidermans movie....coaching spiderman on how to be a hero, throwing him out of limos, got spiderman talking like Tony is his pops, trying to figure out how he can impress Tony...do i need to say more:mindblown:

Spiderman fans woulsve traded they soul to be apart of the MCU though,so they deserve whatever happens:heh:....everything they do in this movie will be based on what they have going on on the marvel/disney side....and all they care about over there is making the cash cow iron man continue to be the big dog.

Spiderman is officially lil homie status......hats off to Tony Starks,u did it again:mjcry:

To be fair though, a lot of cats complain with the liberties taken in the x men films but are cool with this one. I don't get it. Like you can't be sanctimonious about canon in one instance but then praise a deviation from it in the other.
Speaking for myself I don't mind taking certain liberties within reason in comic movies(ex. Changing Watchmen ending)

The X men movies are just bad, and there is little regard shown for the source material in a lot of cases. That's why X men movies get the flack they do

At least in Spideys regard this relationship dynamic was covered in the comics

And heres where we disagree: not all of the x men movies are bad lol. X2, First Class, The Wolverine, and Days Of Future Past are good flicks for me and they work. So no i don't understand the flack in that case

Here's the overlap

I like X-2. I like First Class

The rest?:camby:

Those two also happen to be the least criticized X movies so :manny:

After First Class I actually regained faith in the franchise then they went and brought Singer back:scust:

Singer is the problem

You do realize that Singer wrote the story for first class, was its brain child, and had a huge hand in it even though he didn't direct it right? And from an actual critic standpoint, not online fanboy bs, days of future past is just as praised. I honestly don't pay much attention to fanboy internet crap because fanboys will complain and do complain about any and everything and it becomes annoying after a while

If Singer had that much involvement in FC I'll give credit where its due because I enjoy that movie but the rest of my post still stands

Yeah he was going to direct it but was contracted elsewhere. The plan was for him to direct that and whatever the sequel became. He couldn't so he asked Matt Vaughn to direct in his place while he produced and steered the story

Not all of us

I think you would be in a small minority, its crazy how bad the costume looks compared to the other Spiderman movies too:scust:,thats getting overlooked in this whole thing.

also im pretty sure Matthew Vaughn wrote the final script to First Class,so hell no we not giving Singer credit....we supposed to believe his other movies have been shyt, but the tow involving Vaughn just happen to be the best ones coincidently:comeon:

People wanna give Singer credit, tell Singer to make another movie as good as First Class and DOfp:sas1:

It was his story breh and he had input on the script and then Vaughn did his thing with it as well.
