Facts, really made me think back on how it all started. They walked into that liquor store as innocent teens and now one is gone, the other has changed his life, and the one with the most promise has fallen from grace.

Such a tragically poetic ending.

A LOT of nikkas got real money in the 80s and a lot of them crashed out just like franklin did.....wasn't really cheap and easy, it made sense especially with his father already being a alcoholic at one point.

Dont see an ending that could've been much worse. nikka is basically homeless now. Death or jail would've been easy and cheap.

It was cheap.

Franklin would never just suddenly take a drink.

But of course they needed the character to suddenly act like a fiend and they didn't want to fully villanize him. That's why anytime he acted out this episode he had to be drinking beforehand and it had to be alcohol induced.

Y'all keep saying "he homeless" being a good ending for him as if we didn't see Alton also "homeless" and then fix up his life.

Franklin poisoned his community for greed and willingly worked with the CIA to do that, he should have suffered instead he gets a "sad ending" for what? :what:

Im pretty sure he is a crackhead too judging by the teeth. That damn sure aint just alchohol:francis:

I think he just descended into madness, and honestly there are a variety of reasons for that to happen to him. Im pretty sure he lost his mind before he became an alchoholic/crack addict. Feels like weve been watching him unravel for two seasons

If he was crackhead they would have showed it.

Everything he did was alcohol induced.

nikka how do you know :mjtf:

There was a trigger that caused Alton to drink and the failure of getting his money + seeing his mom kill Teddy was the trigger for Franklin.

Death or jail wouldn't be suffering because guys in that life already figure they're headed for that. Franklin crashed out to the point he ended up alone, an addict and homeless. Thats suffering and his face in the last shot showed that.

As for Alton fixing up his life, thats because he was actually living right before ending up homeless. Franklin was living the complete opposite

I only saw the first three episodes when the show first started before falling behind on it. I really didn't catch up at all, aside from seeing a few clips used as reactions {Where the bytches and titties?! The car scene). I don't feel like it's spoiling knowing how the show ends, I find it brave with what they went with. The average gangster show about drugs and police usually have the main character die or end up in jail at the end but to have him lose it all and be a bum, that takes some cajones :ehh:

Currently watching from the start now...

That person goofy. Dying or being in jail is much more easy on Franklin then where he is now. He loss everything, including his mind, will never talk to his moms again, will never see his son and he is his dad.

He has nobody or nothing. It’s legit over for him.

Dying would be way to easy

He could of told on him
I know, I know. But I really don't think he would have, especially not w/$12K in his pocket. And hell, had he just been sitting there drunk when the cops rolled up and there were two/three dead bodies in the house, that would've been fine with me, too.

??? Sheeeeit, I know people in real life who became alcoholics and/or drug addicts for WAY less than what happened with Franklin. Also, there's a lotta bums out here who will give you all the stories you want about how they used to be the shyt and what they used to have. And them stories sound crazy when you look at them now, broken down with their eyes half closed, but the stories be true like a MF. It ain't as unrealistic as ya think.

Of course it was unrealistic :dahell:, with how Franklin has been written for the past 6 seasons he would never just suddenly take a drink.

That would be like Teddy suddenly becoming a drug addict when he got fired from the CIA which was his entire world :mjlol:

It's one thing if the show over the course of the season maybe had Franklin being tempted or showed him leaning for a vice, instead here it's he see's a drink and just has it. One of the most forced scenes I've seen. Timeline wise it didn't even make sense. Breh had a whole a KGB agent he was talking about trading and using as a negotiation tactic 5 minutes prior to running into that bar but then forgets about him :mjlol:

I forgot all about the father being a drunk angle. Damn good series. Fell off too much after the first two seasons for me to put it up there with the greats. This season felt like a bad action movie with all the cliches but I loved the finale.
Huh? When did this show “fall off”. I’m so confused. I pretty much binged the first 4 seasons and I don’t know where you could have possibly felt the quality dropped.

I get everyone is different but this series has been consistent all the way to the end
