One thing I wish that they'd done differently was letting the locksmith live. It was a pointless death and $12K (the very amount that Avi wanted for that first brick) was all but worthless at that time (since he wasn't in his right mind; Leon would've made it work somehow). I understand killing the white guy out of panic, but there was just no use killing the Mexican. It would've been nice if Franklin had just let him go with the money just to show that there was still a tiny piece of humanity in him still.

I think it's a lot more poignant that Franklin met the same end at the addiction of a LEGAL drug.
nah he needed that rock
he did wind up turning out like his pops former self though. maybe in the future he turns it around too

??? Sheeeeit, I know people in real life who became alcoholics and/or drug addicts for WAY less than what happened with Franklin. Also, there's a lotta bums out here who will give you all the stories you want about how they used to be the shyt and what they used to have. And them stories sound crazy when you look at them now, broken down with their eyes half closed, but the stories be true like a MF. It ain't as unrealistic as ya think.
It's a good chance those kids that told Leon where Frank was have no idea who he was.

They just know him as that fukking drunk that's dirty as hell. They wouldn't believe him if he told them he used to smash this pretty eyed girl that was the daughter of a cop let alone him being a drug kingpin that used to fly planes for fun.

But Alton had people that still somewhat cared for him in Cissie and a little bit in Frank.

Frank ran his Cissie off to Europe.

True enough :manny: I started to say Melanie's a good Christian girl now and primed for forgiveness but that would be insane... would've kept the thought to myself if I didn't wonder immediately after rationalizing that thought:

WTF was the point of that flashback scene with her the other week? :what: Literally NOTHING came of that.

Norfeast groovin…
being back on the block the first 3 seasons took place on was surreal seeing how we went from smiling teen paying for ice cream for the kids to this

Facts, really made me think back on how it all started. They walked into that liquor store as innocent teens and now one is gone, the other has changed his life, and the one with the most promise has fallen from grace.

Such a tragically poetic ending.

Powerful fukking ending. They really went all the way in with the harsh reality, I didn't think they had it in them. I would've bet a solid number that this was just gonna end with Frank in jail.

Those last scenes with Leon and Frank broke my heart. Gradually acknowledging together that Franklin is beyond saving.

When he just walks off after losing the crib, nothing to his name except the clothes on his back. The screen just goes to black and you realize this is it, ain't no bounce back coming for ya mans :wow:

Top 10 show for me, even with the fukkery that was 75% of season 5
