Def not a bad take. Franklin was definitely our loveable villain. Mel dad was correct the whole time. And he finally free from it all. The whole rat race he was in.

I see you in this thread trashing the show and everyone’s opinion.

What’s your opinion on the ending and what you feel they got wrong or right.

People need to come to terms with this, it's always hilarious seeing people twist things for characters they like 'naw Tony Montana was not a bad guy he just wanted to provide for his family and turn Cuba into a paradise that welcomes equality' :mjlol:

He’s an alcoholic in south central :dahell:
A lot of people living on skid row finally feel free from the pressures of life. The life we living ain’t natural and some people chase it fully until they break and lose it all. And can release those pressures and live without the baggage.

The whole story
Jerome wanted out in season 2 after he got his ass beat

Franklin hopped his ass in a gang war when Leon, Louie, and Jerome told him to stay out of it

He knowingly sold drugs for the CIA then got mad when Teddy flipped on him
Like nikka it’s the CIA :dahell:

This show hasn’t felt like the 80s since season 1, I could’ve sworn I seen myself walking around in the background

They missed the mark on telling a proper story on the War on Drugs

I was on the opposite it. Where I felt the stuff he did was justified, until I sat back and analyzed it fully.

someone in the thread mentioned him pretty much stealing that library from that older couple and I had forgotten all about that. He had no reason to do that but to get in on some capitalistic bullshyt. And pretty much stole what they spent life building up from under them.

He did a lot of foul shyt man. We just got a chance to see from an innocent boy into a man and felt like he was justified, but he never really was.

Exactly either way you slice it she was wrong, should not have dipped with all his money. That's selfish.

nah, i wouldn't say she was wrong. i get why lots of people dont like what she did. but it's hard for me to say she was wrong given: a) how much she had already stood beside franklin as he spiraled down the drain, b) the fact she's carrying his kid, and c) the fact he had devolved to the point of putting hands on her.

veronique explained to her mom why she stayed with franklin: he never lied, never put his hands on her, never left her in a prison cell. figuratively or literally, he did all three at the end. had her sitting in the same stash spot he used as a prison for teddy. put his hands on her when he felt she betrayed him. didn't tell her what he was doing with the south central properties.

Oh ok. This a trash opinion :salute: you gave nothing of value in this opinion

We understand unc wanted out and we know why he stayed in.

After teddy got Franklin out of jail for murder they owned him and the whole family. Wasn’t no getting out

I completely missed the fact that Leon and Franklin walked through the set of Boyz In The Hood at the end. :mindblown:

You can see versions of the child actors from the beginning of the flick talking to a person in the director's chair that would have been John Singleton. :ohhh:

Why did the Iran Contra/government dealing drugs thing get ignored? Teddy died, ok. Nothing about it continuing?
They already talked about it coming to an end and not keeping the operation going. They didn’t need it anymore. Was the reason the boss wanted them to get rid of teddy.
