I hate this ending but it's a great believable ending.

We all have heard stories or know someone who used to run the streets/was rich and became a drunk or crackhead and lost it all.

Just happy Leon and Oso had happy endings

I’ve addressed this before…they were eating off him yea, but his crew would’ve been fine without the drugs, they didn’t have an innate lust for money like Franklin, they could’ve lived life as average people in south central, Frank couldn’t have

Yes, franklins money was stolen, but he destroyed himself - no one else. There were multiple times just this episode alone where he could’ve taken what he had and been ok. But he’s like a crackhead chasing that first high, except his first high was $73M - he was never gonna get there again…breh couldn’t let go of chasing that mountain when he had opportunities to have a few M’s back. If you remember, when he was going in on that downtown building, Louie and Rome was supposed to put in $10M for their stake which he and V covered when they backed out. So at minimum, between what he originally invested and covering Louie/Rome’s stake, Frank had probably $10M he coulda got back from selling, plus rentals in the hood
it turned into a lust for money, but all he wanted to do was lift his family up outta poverty :mjcry:

he tried it the right way and cacs fukked him over; tried it the street way and had major success, until cacs fukked him over

remember all this started with him trying to cop a bag for his coke head friend

he was cool selling weed and working at cho's

Im picturing a 59-60 year old present day Franklin doing a Vlad TV interview talking about the run he had :pachaha:

But thats the haunting part, for a Freeway Ricky Ross or Frank Lucas to still be around to tell their story they had to be someone holding it down and some capital and Franklin aint even got that

He just gonna die in the streets probably before he 30, probably didnt even make it past '91:to:

You right. I forgot Lee said wanda was getting into the music business. That era has never really been documented in a series like this. Could be super dope.

early 90s of hip hop in general might as well not exist to most hip hop media. I def agree
