yeah... no. nope. franklin gets no passes. he earned every single bit of that ending, as hard as it was for me to watch.

He earned it the moment he finessed that couple out of their library.

But it doesn't change the fact that he lost his mind based on other people's wrongs.

80s corner boys earning a few 100 a week probably still glorify Rick Ross, Rayful or whoever their boss was to this day, but Frank was getting the treatment from people who made 10s of Ms under him.

The scene where he went back to visit Cissy in jail was

Franklin had all that juice and ended up just like his pops after the Panthers.

Leon is the new Jerome with a passport, and a whole lot more perspective.

Great ending - reminded me a lot of the end of 'Breaking Bad' with Franklin desperately trying to bust one last move to carve out a win.

I’m still fukked up about Franklin man. And I’ll say it 1000 times that cissy was short sighted and didn’t kill teddy to help Franklin. She did it for selfish reasons, one was Alton and the other was to destroy Franklin for saying he didn’t care about seeing her again.

Cause anyone could see this where Franklin was headed if he didn’t get the money.

You called yourself sacrificing yourself for him, but did the most destructive thing you could have possibly done to him.

You literally put the bullet or knife his heart.

It woulda been better if teddy gave him the half and came back and killed him

I knew it was over once he gave the kgb agent up immediately and took that one drink.

I was just hoping he would get one break to pull him back

My pre ep best ending was he would end up like god father 3, where he had all the money and no family. And worse was gonna be him being a addict on crack or alcohol

I can’t get the sight of his face and teeth out of my mind.

Really is a story of a “good kid mad city”

Franklin was gonna get killed. The bum shyt actually saved his life. He has done too much damage to society

My nikka he had numerous opportunities out after that. Franklin was completely free of the bullshyt after giving up the KGB nikka. He could have;

-Sold the property he had when dude came to his house

-Taken Peach's $12k ($25k equivalent back then) and gotten himself right... Buy half a brick and get himself back in the game if he wanted to

Franklin let the money make him...and played himself.

He didn't want to be in the game. That's the part you don't get but he was blood hungry as well. He was a loose cannon and loose cannons are bad for business

Lol @ some of yall still thinking it was ever going to end with teddy transferring money to Saint lol cissy dropped teddy cause she knew he was on some bullshyt. Franklin was too consumed with walking away with something that what was right in front of him kept deceiving him. He couldn't see the trees from the forest. Teddy basically told him what this situation does, it uses you up and spit you out. Cissy killing teddy saved Franklin. She was willing to fall on that sword and it saved not only Saint but leon too.

Great ending that makes a point about this game. They tell you you end up dead or in jail and this is the 1st time I can remember a show showing a 3rd ending, living with your own decisions and ending up with nothing. BTW damson Idris deserves some kind of award for his performance he was incredible. Crazy , jail might have been better for Franklin. Would have kept him clean and possibly got his mind right. Remaining free left him with all his vices. Sort of poetic how that 40 oz was equally as devastating to the the black community as crack cocaine but it's very seldom discussed. Liquor destroyed just as much lives if not more. Would have really been something if he had a pack of Kool 100s too. The ultimate destroyers of the black community

Glad leon landed on his feet. That's a positive outcome of the game.

My wife wanted Louie to die lol louie likely ends up doing Documentaries on BET later in her life called trap queens lol

Veronique was right to bounce. Saint should have sold that stake moved to the burbs with his family and called it a day. But he was driven to get it all back.

Overall great show classic even right up there with the best.

just watched it again with my wife. they gave franklin both what he wanted and what he deserved

I hope not in the spinoff.

Leon is an intelligent hoodlum, he's not driven by power and greed like Franklin.

Considering all what Wanda went through I'd highly doubt she would allow herself to relapse or put herself in a position to be controlled by a man again.

i mean, they all start off likeable in some way. you never know
