This episode felt like Dark Comedy in a way. Cot damn that money got Franklin strung out like a fiend

Franklin panicking and begging a dead/dying man to say the password

Yeah that's why after sleeping on it I can buy Franklin not only settling for half but falling into what should be a pretty obvious trap. The money got him strung out and irrational.

Cissy was even trying to tell him that they're not just gonna let him take the money and leave it at that but he's too obsessed with getting it back to listen

Writing is all over the place, but the acting is top notch. Especially Franklin and Teddy. When Teddy said u left me, dem daddy issues for both came out.

Didn’t Franklin cut him out as his supplier to make money on his own or something like that? I guess Teddy felt betrayed

Yup. And she gave that “inconsequential” speech a few eps back about how Teddy didn’t respect her enough to see her as a threat and she wanted to take him down. When he brushed her off like she was nothing, again, that was a wrap for him.

I don’t think it was impulsive. She knew that would be the last interaction she had with Teddy and her last chance to either find out the truth about Alton or to do what she said she was going to do to him. When she asked Franklin if he was ok with never seeing her again it was because she was ready to give her freedom up to kill Teddy. She finally realized that Franklin values money over all else, even her and the pain she felt over Alton. And since Franklin chose the money over his relationship with his mother she stopped him from getting it. She saw the monster it made out of her son.

That's exactly how I view it. Their family was happier and safer before all that drug money came in. I don't get the hate for Cissy.

EXACTLY what I thought of the instant she asked him again

Although I am coming around to the idea that it was her plan all along and she just asked him again so she knew for sure before going through with it.

Teddy got the boot of the operations before they let him come back and Franklin started getting money with that new white boy instead of having his back and only working with him I think

Feels like these writers never take the time to ask the necessary questions to poke holes in their logic. They write themselves into corners and can never find plausible ways out of it.

I feel like everything could still come together the way it has but better if they just cooked shyt up a lil more
