epic fukking night. the fact that they got all these legends to commit to this is an amazing feat.

one undeniable fact and one harsh reality 1. Eddie Murphy is a legend. 2. Eddie Murphy isn't funny anymore. Maybe all the tranny/child support shyt that went down changed him, or maybe its all the box office flops or maybe its just that he's too rich to be inspired to make new material... but the Eddie of old is pretty much dead and gone and it's a damn shame.

oh and to whoever said SNL won't make it to 50 seasons, fukouttahere. SNL is an institution. I'm guessin the reason they went this big for the 40th is that some of these legends won't be alive in 10 years... I mean did yall see Chevy, Steve & Murray azzes

eddie is a coward...he is the type to display his talent when aint nobody looking then when all eyes are on him he bytches up...as far as his stand up goes..shyt he hung the mic up after the raw tour...he went on arsenio before harlem nights was released and said basically that he cant fukk wit the new cats and named damon wayans specifically....smh !

So then what's the problem? You know the answer.

But I don't think it was about that tonight. It was about honoring where they came from. For their fans, their former home, the legacy, the comedy. You could tell that they were all having fun with it. Bill Murray even brought his a$$ out.


Eddie didn't get where he is now without some help along the way, including the connects he made from SNL. Tonight, they gave back.


We hold him to a higher standard, but maybe he doesn't have it. These are some comedic giants and maybe he doesn't have it what it takes to go toe-to-toe with them anymore. Perhaps that's why his movies aren't funny anymore.

Then we shouldn't care about seeing something that wasn't going to be funny.

Eddie was never meant to do anything more than what he did tonight. I understand nikkas wanted to see him do sketches and shyt but that stuff is better left in the past for some folks. Wouldnt be the same.

Sucks that Eddie didn't do more than what he did, but like he said, that was a part of his life 35 years ago. He's moved on; I guess everyone else should too
